Which way is up?

When giving directions in Pattaya, what do you consider 'Up' and 'Down' ?

If you were on Soi 6, would you say 'Lets go down to Walking Street.' or 'Lets go up to Walking Street' ?

Even though not due north I like to consider North pattaya Road north of Central Pattaya Road which is north of South Pattaya Road.

Which makes 3rd Road west of 2nd Road.
I lke to think of North as up and South as down.

Up to Issan, down to Phuket.

Up the ass, Up 2 U if you're on the down low.

To me...South is always down...Since Walking Street is in South Pattaya, I'd say "Let's go down to Walking Street."  I'd never say, "Let's go up to Walking Street."  
Unless, of course I was in Jomtien.  I would say however, "Let's go up to Naklua." But mostly I just point and say, "Let's go that way."
