i dont know what happened between Karl and Lita and I hope all is ok but after logging several nights at EZ my last trip I think all of the girls are much closer to Lita. all of the girls I talked with told me how caring and nice she is to them and how she is involved with their lives and how she wants to know where they live and how their families are doing etc. It seems to me that if Karl and Lita split that the girls all have a closer connection to Lita and would follow her in my humble opinion.

I feel empathy for Karl - he has tried, on many occassions, to be the best LB bar in Pattaya but when you have a Thai partner decide if it is a business partner or a biblical partner.....

Residency may take various forms

Work Permit - the permit is 'tied' to your emplyer.
- There is a way to establish a Thai company and for every 3 Thais 'employed' you will be granted 1 Farang work permit. These Thais must be correctly employed - social charges/payslip etc. Bars do NOT generally do this.

Retirement visa - you CANNOT work. Valid one year. Must 'show' income (monthly 65,000Baht) or cash balance (800,000Baht) once per annum. Must be over 50 years of age.

If you marry a Thai the amount is reduced by 50% but you are still NOT entitled to any Thai benefits including a work permit.

Interesting comments. Has anyone noticed that not only do thai's side with thai's, but the inverse is also true - we Westerner's side with the westerner 90% of the time. Look at this case as the perfect example.

The reality as already expressed is that WE will never really know the full truth, and to try to make decisions about "choosing sides" is not only counterproductive, it could prove to be dangerous if taken too far.

Stay out of it. Be happy we now have 1 more ladyboy venue in Pattaya.

That is not correct - Thai companies have licences all the time - mine has them for selling drinks. The key is though they have to be totally legal and functioning businesses but its certainly very easy to do - infact if your lease in the name of a business, then ONLY that business can obtain the drink licences.
