Alis showed me the 'shirts' the LaBamba girls will be wearing - very smart.

Another couple of issues have emerged:

* Sports photographer required for taking action shots
* Referee required - must know the rules of Volley Ball and able to resolve conflict. Stamina for 3 matches.

Your ability to be a pervert is not considered grounds to apply for neither of these posts.

Any volunteers with the correct credentials?

I have just been watching a movie, with my Thai partner, called "Steel Leg" which is about a female Volley Ball team having a LB in the team!  Ironic. So do we now have to check that neither Sally, nor La Bamba, have a male in the team - what bloody criteria do we use for that??


Also some basic rules for Beach Volley Ball for those offering to Referee.

Volley ball can be 6 vs 6 or 4 vs 4 and 2 vs 2 - the match will encompass all 3 options - the winner is the best of the three bouts.

   * Playing surface: sand, rather than a hard floor
   * Team size: two players per team, rather than six

   * The beach court measures 26.25 feet by 52.5 feet (8.00 m × 16.00 m), while the indoor court measures 29.52 feet by 59.05 feet (9.00 m × 18.00 m).

In practice, this means that serves are never received open-handed. The exception to this rule is when receiving an opponent's hard-driven attack.

looking on here for somebody who needs to be straight down the middle upstanding and command respect as a referee needs to be is like looking for a condom in the popes bedside cabinet.........it just aint gonna materialise even if it did it would be no fuckin use anyway. on the other hand ive be known to have brief episodes of non pervert behaviour...........but i dont think long enough to last a match.

PS  My bet is on La Bamba if they can get Kad (or whatever name she is using now) to play.  And now would be the time for La Bamba to get back on good terms with Kwang, and re-sign her as a free-agent. She'll bring a few friends and it will be no contest.

FYI on my last day in Pattaya last week I had the fortune of seeing the return of Cindy. When asked, she assured me that she will be on the volleyball team and play. This LB has been known for a while as a great player. Hope she leads the bar to victory.
