Is there a Big Dog bar equivalent in Pattaya?

We will never get the volume of traffic or the funnel effect of Big Dogs and Lucky Lukes in Pattaya, but sometimes it is nice to sit anonymously and observe.

Where do you go to warm up before hitting the ladyboy bars or to chill out and watch when in Pattaya?

I generally go to one of the bars on Walking Street circa opposite Jenny Star bar or there about.

Lucifers after 1am (if you can get a seat against the front wall / open window) is also good to watch the traffic.

Pattaya Beer Garden is one place to warm up but not really to observe.

Guess one of the WS bars would be a good place to observe.

There are plenty of places on Walking Street that are outside and you can sit and have a look at the parade of motley souls!! I have mt fav its about halfway down on the right hand side and it had big wicker chair woith cushions. Nice place to sit, have a Pepsi and have a look at the floor show.

There is not really any interesting spectator seating outside of Walking St and the places you mention are as good as any.
Also a few nice pavement cafe's are starting to open on Beach Rd just south of Royal Garden, they are also good places to plant your arse for half an hour under a brolly especially as the sun sets and the girlys head off to work

Top Ten Bar and Abbe Bar both have great sound systems and are open for Walking St. viewing...Top Ten plays a lot of classic Rock and Roll...while Abbe plays more recent stuff...both are decent bars, pretty laid back...most of the time ...

Lucky Star Bar is a great favorite as well...especially around 3-4am...when Marine was happening, you could watch the parade of discoites make their way to the old Insomnia and that was quite a show.

Plus a lot of the rougher ladyboys work soi Lucky Star  at this hour and they are interesting to view.. the JP Bar vampires are a show in itself as well...and it can all be witnessed from a stool at Lucky Star Bar in the wee hours.

The difference with Patts though, compared to Bkk, is the scene is more scattered about the city. Nana Plaza has high concentration of the best lbs in town, as for p4p types, so sitting at Big Dogs means you are sure to see many if not most of them.

To suggest a perch for viewing along WS would indicate a belief that the street possesses a high pct of the best Patts has to offer,and that just is not the case IMO.

I respectfully disagree ...Walking Street has the highest concentration of providers, employees and tourists of any sex venue I've ever visited...

restaurants, rock clubs, discos, beer bars, GoGo's, L/b bars, boxing rings...you name it... Walking Street has it...plus... a whistle doesn't go off signaling closing time.

Walking Street never closes...and IMHO...a seat on one of the thousands of bar stools, that W/S provides...beats the hell out of the 50 or so seats that Big Dogs has for yer viewing playsure.

Another good spot is the My Way Beer Bar or Hot Tuna down the street and across from the FLB.

I Like Hot Tuna, good views and banging music. Will be there Sept 7 for a few nights.


Like it about 3 am when they all come out to play, bargains to be had!

Lucky Star Bar is the closest to Big Dogs IMO.

Opposite Blue Ice nice staff, and the ideal place to watch Walking Street slowly come to life in the afternoon.
