cut/copy/pasted from my Trip Report - all info is from Pattaya:
Quick update for those interested in the purchase of "power in a pill" - following the advice found in a discussion elsewhere on the forum, I ventured out onto 2nd road and quickly found Tim Beer Bar just next to the Avenue mall. Next to this is a small pharmacy where I inquired as to the price of 20 Apcalis (generic Cialis) tablets. I'd read 400 baht was the going rate for a package of 4, she quoted me 2000 baht for 5 packages (20 tablets total) and I waved my hand to say "no, no... too high". She got the calculator out and showed me a more acceptable figure of 1750 which I accepted. After taking my purchase I told her I'd heard about her on the internet and she looked shocked and scared, said "No no - afraid police find out!" so I quickly reassured her that I only teasing her, "a friend of mine comes here every month and recommended you. No worries, I only tease you" and she seemed much happier.
That would be noobie mistake number 17 (for those keeping score at home) - don't think that the merchants WANT to know about the free publicity they are getting, especially if what they are doing isn't 100% legal.
