Condolences to Eric's family and close friends.

Eric and I may have had some differences but I respect his contributions to the forums and to the overall promotion of the LB's in Pattaya. He was a perfectionist in his work/hobby and well known within the Pattaya scene.

His photos are an ongoing testimonial to his efforts.

He has been through a painful past 3 months and I hope that he may now rest in peace with more ease.

My thoughts and prayers are for him and his family.

While in Pattaya I wanted to visit Eric to wish him the best with his battle against the illness he has fought so hard against.

Now I can't say goodbye in person, I can only pray he has found peace & offer sympathy to his wife & family.

He was an English gentleman who will be greatly missed.

So sorry I missed our last meeting Eric, keep a place at the bar in LB heaven for me...
Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

(SamplerDoc @ Sep. 07 2008,09:34) Thanks for passing on the information Bob.
I hope those of us that met him and are posting thoughts here can all help out in some way.

          Sombat will be missed greatly.
As you can imagine, 3 months in Hospital has virtually wiped out any funds that he had. So any help would be very welcome.

Sorry to hear this , though it was inevitable , last time I spoke to him (4 months ago ) he was under pressure .

My condolences to his friends and family .

A friendly guy , Sringfellows never seems the same without him appearing at least once every evening

The way I'll remember Eric is the fondness that my teerak had for him. They hit it off really well, perhaps it was the twinkle in his eyes, or his good nature, or whatever he would say to her in Thai.

She seems to confuse many of my friends but knew exactly who he was and called him Sombat as that's how he introduced himself to her.

Very sorry to hear this, but thanks for passing on the news Bob.

From what he told me of the last few months, it will at least be a relief for him to pass on.

I will be glad to contribute via Bob's Paypal facility.

Eric was a really nice person and a good friend, I shall miss not seeing him on my trips to Pattaya. I was lucky to have had a good chat with him when I was in town in May and shall carry fond memories of Eric with me.

                                   Rest in Peace my Friend

(69billy @ Sep. 07 2008,21:18) He was one of the few good guys in Pattaya...

Working in a city and an industry full of clowns, conmen and fools Eric stood out as a gentlemen.

The test of his worth can be measured on how well he got on with the ladyboys and he got on with them fine.

I'll forgive him posthumously for suspending me from his message board!

                            See you soon, Eric!

This is very sad news. I have known Eric for the last 5 years and this has hit home to me at least. As others have said, he always stood to me at least as a true gent and I will miss him in my own way.

The pain of his condition was obvious to all and I only saw it from a distance but makes you aware to live every day to the full and enjoy yourself always and always think of how you can do the right thing as time is short in this world.

                              RIP Eric.

I am sorry to hear the news - Eric was a good and amusing companion, much liked by the girls and fellow farang alike.
