first time to Bangkok

Hi everyone,

This is an amazing forum. The only problem I am having with all of this info is that I am a little confused. I am going to Bangkok for a few days on business and was hoping to meet a few ladyboys on this trip. I am a little nervous about going out to bars by myself and was hoping one of you could tell me how I should go about it for a good experience.

Its really easy, just go to Nana Plaza (Sukhemvit Soi 4), there are 4 LB bars there
I would suggest Cascades on the 3rd level, the girls are less 'aggresive' than the other bars.

If you like the amazon type, then check out Casanova on the 2nd level.

The bars are aimed at tourists, you don't need to pay an entrence fee, know how to speak Thai or anything complicated. Just walk in, sit down, and in a few seconds girls will ask to sit next to you. If you like the girl buy her a drink, if you really like her pay her barfine.

The barfine gets her out of the bar, you still have to make an arrangement with the girl for further 'activities'.

I just recently returned from my first visit and it is much easier then it might appear.

I would go to Nana Entertainment Center... Cascades...like Snick recommends...3rd floor right in the rear...Lots of cute usually smaller ladyboys...I mean lots..

Again, with my limited experience, they won't ask to sit next to you.  They will just sit next to you on both sides, and in front and behind you,  if possible...and on top of you if you let them...

And they will all ask you to buy them a drink...just be polite and say thanks but I want to pick my own lady and they will move...

They dance in shifts and eventually you will see a girl that you like...just smile and nod or whatever and she will be next to you in a flash...

Buy her a drink...talk with her...if you like her, negotiate a price for short time or long time...pay her bar fine...and she will change to street clothes and off you go to your hotel...If you dont' see a girl you like, pay your drink tab and move on to another bar...

Don't be embarrassed...hold your head up...no one will pay any attention to you, except stupid Americans (I can say that I am one) and fat western women (and who gives a fuck)...The people on the street won't care, the cab driver won't care and the hotel staff won't care...the hotel will likely want her to leave her ID at the desk...this is for your protection...

And as the more experienced guys will tell you, don't make arrangements with a lady before you arrive...you might be sorry later...Trust me, you will find the right girl for you...

The escort agencies will be reliable -  but tend to be grossly overpriced compared to meeting up with a girl in a bar.   Four to five times the price is common  

You could collect some numbers  -  but I'd suggest first time out go to the bars.
It's a different experience in Thailand to most countries and I and many others find it good fun    

Also you can get to look at and talk to the girls and find one you fancy.
I'm sure you have seen plenty in pictures that you like  -  but I can guarantee that you will find one in a bar hotter and better looking than any picture you have seen

I have stayed there, and recomended it to other people on the forum and no one has ever had any problems. Hope you got the room with the Jacuuzi.

I do suggest you stick with the Bars and avoid the streetwalkers until you are little more 'expirienced'

Go and enjoy yourself. They won't bite (unless you let 'em). There are always others in LB bars by themselves, same same you. That's how a number of people on this board met, by bumping into other Solo travellers on the same mission as you.

Hi everyone,

I am coming back to Bangkok again next week and I am looking for a nice place to stay. I liked the President Solitaire but I did not like the fact that they would have the security guard escort anyone who came to see me to my room . I felt this was a lack of privacy.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.
