Leaving in five days for BKK - first time

I will be BKK for seven days for work and was wondering what should be the game plan. It is my first time and have a few free days before I have to put on a suite.

Any suggestions on how I should lay out my itinerary?

Anyone what to meet for a drink and show a novice how to work the town?

Just head to Nana and let it flow from there. If you want to meet up, I suggest you browse the calendar forum and see if anyone else is around. Also try posting your contact info and see if anyone in the area replies. There's tons of locals on the board so if you offer free beer, they will come. Good luck and have fun!

Once you hit Ground Zero, AKA Nana Entertainment Plaza, your instincts will take over. Just use caution and re-read some of the great advice given by those of us who have actually been in Thailand. Stay calm, try to relax as you enter the first LB Bar and you are swarmed over by some of the most amazing looking LB'S you will ever see. They can smell the blood of a "newbie" and will eat you alive if you are not prepared. Since you are smart enough to have read some of the posts here you have a distinct advantage over them. Use that to prevent them them from getting the upper hand. You are one with the "bucks" you are the one who will decide. They need you more than you need them, especially now with the low season at its peak. Good luck, have a great holiday and if you have questions just pop in again, ask away and they will be answered by someone who can give you great advice.

I have much experience (probably too much) with visiting €œhouses of ill repute€ in other parts of the world. However, this will be my first LB exploration. I can€™t wait.

I'd think it would be a bit hot for one of them too  -  unless you were used to the tropics  

I'd normally say for a newcomer on their own to go to Cascades. It's more relaxed and anonymous and you can still 'examine the goods' before you decide to take away  

Obsessions is more intimate (and sleezy - my sort of girls     ) and sometimes has some real gems.   Casanova has the real amazon she-male types.

As has been repeated many times about Thailand  -  the best plan is -  No Plan !!

Should we meet up at Cascades? What dates are you talking about? I will be in country Monday 30th and departing Monday the 9th. Work Thursday - Saturday of that week. But prior and after I am free to venture.
