69 Baht happy hour at Guess Bar

With the move to new premises, Guess bar is introducing a happy hour between 3pm and 7pm.

All beers currently 110 baht, will be 69 baht. This includes: Heineken, Singha, Tiger, San Miguel Light, Beer Lao and Chang beer.

All spirits currently 110 baht, will be 69 baht. This includes JW Red Label, Finlandia and Smirnoff vodka, Gordons Gin, Jim Bean, Bacardi, Malibu etc

All premium spirits currently at 130 baht will be 89 baht. This includes JW Black Label, Jack Daniels, Absolute Vodka, Bombay gin, Chivas etc.

Lady drinks are not included in the promotion, but at starting at 100baht, they are already 35% cheaper than at other BKK LB bars.

The Happy Hour at 69 Baht is an excellent deal. Will have to take a look soon.

BTW may I suggest a pinned thread just stating the new bar has opened and the other closed. Will help with any confusion. Fron there you can link to the other threads such as this one, the location one etc.

Thats the million dollar question - The trouble is when the bar opened, there were 4 or or more girls coming in for 3pm and they basically sat there twiddling their thumbs - every now and again somebody would come in but over time, some have dropped back to coming in before 6pm. The inevitable situation of course occurs when a guy comes into the bar, just to be met Jay and Gong - he would feel kinda upset. Jay is aware of this as an issue, but equally feels for the staff in so far as many days, the whole period between opening and say 5pm can be without 1 customer.

With the change in location, she is giving this a try to see of it can be re-launched and work - otherwise if it does not, I suspect the bar will switch to an opening time of around 5pm. By the way, as she is currently looking for an additional 8 girls at the moment, she is planning on insisting all 8 must start work at 3pm.

Its a permanent fixture however, it will be reviewed depending upon its success or otherwise.

Mardhi, dumb newbie question i guess as this is my first time, but do you work/own the bar? Would be cool to meet up for a few if any1s around, i read nothing but good stuff about Guess from other people.places so deffo could make it my 'local'

Unfortunately I had forgotten completely it existed.  So it wasn't going to encourage me to take advantage of the offer.   Perhaps partly why drink sales not up - no promotion of Happy Hour?  ....OK, someone is going to tell me there was a notice in the bar  

To be serious, though, I cannot see the regular or potential Guess Bar customers being dragged away from Big Dogs, Lucky Lukes etc, around 5/6pm by the promise of a cheaper Beer Chang.   But it might have encouraged me to get there at 6.45pm, instead of 7.15

I had forgotten about this as well and I am in the bar almost everyday.

Not only that the bar does not seem to open until at least 5pm these days so for only 2 hours not really worth leaving the parade at big dogs or lucky lukes at that time.
