Sofa ettiquette at the guess bar

Dear Guess bar regulars
im looking forward immensely to visiting the G bar in early Nov, ive been intriegued by descriptions of sofa activities with one post for example describing Jane blowing a guy even though he wasnt barfining her!

If for example there were say 5 ladies available would it be deemed out of order to have a little sofa session with them all (one after the other) buy drinks for each of course, before choosing a lady?(well if theyll have me) for a st or lt?
Also how far can things go on the sofas?
please forgive my ignorance but i wouldnt want to offend any of the ladies there

In Soi 6 bars if I sit with a girl and don't go with her and she's doing something like rubbing my thigh and dick but my pants are on then I'll give her 100 baht.

Haven't been to Bangkok in over a year so am not familiar with exactly what constitutes a Guess pillow job but seems it's more extensive than what I've described above so I would imagine that bigger baht would be appreciated but the BKK guys know better than me.

I think we Western guys like clarity and appreciate knowing exactly what's expected.

However if a Nana girl sits down next to me without being invited and says's "tip for me" she's not getting it.

I'd say that this is an area that would be difficult to lay down any kind of ground rules for.

The aim of the girls is to work you up into a state of arousal so you'll escort them upstairs. Failure in this endeavour must be rewarded!

If you don't want any attention at all then sit at the bar!

If you want the attention of a lady in particular then sit at the bar, invite her over for a drink then migrate to the more bohemian confines of the 'pillow job' area of the bar.

If you head straight for the couches then you may be swarmed by a gaggle of ladyboys who will gang up on you and 'tag team' your resistance away!

If you have distracted these beauties for some time (less than an hour) and you still can't be persuaded to retire upstairs for some longitudinal calisthenics then I'd say a tip of 200 baht per attendee would be appropriate. For periods of time of about 15 minutes or less I'd guess (ahem!) that 100 baht would be acceptable. This would be in addition to the drinks you have offered them.

Of course you have to be comfortable and willing and any unwanted attention from girl number 2, 3 and 4 should be repelled (in a nice way) almost before it happens. Remember - not saying 'No' means 'Yes!' in this enviroment.

That's why I recommend that you start your carnal courtship from the safe confines of a stool by the bar!

Ahhhhhhhhhh, yes, being swarmed by a "gaggle" of ladyboys.....life is so good here in Bangkok...haha.

Yep, it's a grey zone, but I think the basic principle is that if you keep a girl from earning money, by letting her work you up for a long time, and then you just end it, without barfining her (and thus she has missed out on other money earning opportunities), she at least deserves 'something' for her time with you. It's the 'something' that has no standard.

Frankly speaking, most newbies give nothing. Most oldtimers give a little, but I have no idea what is standard. Between 100-200 is ok, that I am sure about. Beyond that requires that you've been with her a long time and maybe lead her to believe you'd barfine her, but then you changed your mind at the last second, and so, maybe 300-500 is more appropriate then; but that is getting a bit silly.

many thanks for advice, greatly appreciated. Its just as a newbie sometimes you cant see the wood from the trees, and the lb world if you have not participated (as yet) can appear intimidating.
Also as someone who doesn't have an unlimited budget its good to get an idea of what funds may be needed. But those amounts 100-200 dont seem unreasonable. Looks like a little time at the bar will be very valueble before diving in!!
