New Champagne

Jay and I had a great dinner the other night. She wanted champagne so I ordered a bottle of something called Drappier which to be honest I had never heard of but it was a lot cheaper than Bollinger.

End result, Jay says oh this nice - much nicer than Moet and a much prettier label.....

So end result is that Guess Bar is now selling Drappier champagne not Moet & Chandon.

If anybody really wants Moet - -try this stuff - its actually very nice. The price is the same by the way in guess bar - circa 4000b which is a load cheaper than I paid in some fancy restaurant which I recall was about 7500 + VAT + Service. Oh for the days of reasonable tax on wines in Thailand but I guess thats a long way off.

There are many smaller brands that are really good, problem is most who buy champagne want the flash, hence Moet and VC,

Drappier is good.

She most certainly did Dave (and so did I, but I enjoyed it more after she had finished a few glasses

Unfortunately looks like Jay is acquiring a taste for champagne these days and if the truth be told, I think she likes the colour of the label more than anything else, hence the change to stock Drappier.
