The Thai army were in Afghanistan, East Timor and I believe some specialist personnel are based in Iraq.

Admittedly they may not have earned medals for their international service.

I stand corrected Road Runner, but I would be curious to know whether anyone in the Thai military has ever actually fired live ammo in a combat situation in those three missions you mentioned.    I will read more into it but I am guessing they have a couple soldiers show up to demonstrate some sort of solidarity but not there to actually fight in a war.

And lastly, I dont just claim to be an attorney...I am an attorney and quite successful. Matter of fact, I hope to have drinks with a person on this board and I will show my bar card from California. Glad you like what Guess Bar has achieved, but as I recall nobody has ever said Jay or for that matter Jane are some kind of superhero's - they are just normal ladyboys - no more and no less.

And as for keeping away from Bangkok - also a sound idea - I'm sure the warm beer and Walkers Crisps at the local "dog and duck" pub will be much more rewarding
