The new GUESS BAR forum...

Nice bar, bad thread idea in my opinion. It just seems to me that the forum members are being fed information for someone else's monetary gain. And yes I know that this forum helps attract business for Asian-TS but it does not seem the same to me singling out one bar. If the info/pictures show up in someones report, like Costag's it seems better than this.

With all this talk about Guess bar I have not seen a Patpong or Soi Cowboy post in a long time, do none of us go there anymore?

When Jon started this (actually the old yellow) forum 5-6 years ago it was all about trip reports, finding new girls, new bars etc. Now EVERYDAY we are being fed info on just this bar. I am a site member and have been since nearly day 1. I like the trip reports that people post with photos, not something that seems to be planned.

Nothing against Jay or anyone else, but I like it a little less promotional. And like I said, it is a nice bar, a little refreshing from the Nana/Patpong rush, but shouldn't the newbies learn about those places also?

It seems like the only one who doesn't like the Guess bar thread is me and Fern, as she does not like the fact that one bad review has cost her some customers.

PatPong only has one ladyboy bar and it's like a circus! Cowboy! that's a laugh... when was the last time you were at this horrible worn out rubbish tip? There are no lbs and just a bunch of pudgy late 20s slags...

Yes and thank God those days are over! 10 people fighting with Bricktop and almost NO information at all! Bloody nightmare.

Well, I wish it was MY monetary gain! I don't get any favors by pushing the Guess bar and I've also been one of it's fiercest critics. The girls make more money if they deserve it not because a website forum says they should!

The guess bar has been singled out as a place to go by the readers of this forum and not by me or the people who help run the forum. It is popular because it is good. If the same amount of attention and threads were on another bar then it, too, would have it's own forum.

I don't like adding forums to our message board. It fragments the threads and makes the whole thing harder to follow. But there has to be some categories where people can go to to find the information they want.

The Trip Reports forum is massive. There is a ton of stuff there. It would be impossible to have that kind of a forum on the old style board. Also - there are no threads that are out of context (such as the Guess Bar threads!) so I would have thought that you would be applauding this decision!

Anyway - your points are well taken and as you say... it seems to have been well recieved so far...

Let's see how it pans out over the next few weeks...

Don't care about the bar, GREAT thread - I for one was getting totally fed up with people asking the same basic questions anout the Guess Bar in every other forum
