As Mardhi has mentioned more than once Jay is understandably all stressed out hoping that this all comes together... but by Tuesday? Well, we'll see!

That's great about the 1PM opening time. It's been in my experience that you can walk around that area and find boom-boom at that time of day, like the massage joints and Eden's, but I never came across anything to do with Ladyboys... unless you wanted to pay a high price and call Red Rose whom I think is now gone out of business which is just as well. Having Ladyboys available in the afternoon is for sure going to fill that needed niche.

Well guys - I have just got back from the bar having caught up with monkeyman and Ozzie and we went and offered Jay some moral support.    I went fearing the worse after seeing stogie's comments when he saw the bar yesterday - but its amazing what 24 hours can do.    The bar looks amazing.   Jay looks knackered but happy its all come together and the building team have been fantastic.    It looks finished to the eye, but Jay still has some more finishing touches to complete tomorrow.    For sure, its nothing like any other ladyboy bar you have seen before and judging by the 2 girls who came for an interview while we were there - the talent should be pretty hot as well.     I am convinced Ozzie was getting his wallet out to barfine one of them on the spot despite the bar not being open yet.  

Tomorrow should be good fun night out - but expect lots of conversation, sexy ladyboys and a bit of class - a shit pit it aint.

might i even request a bit of  anita baker or billie holiday to smooth the gin and allow for properly fractured conversation? or is that just too, um, "worldly"?

Cant say I heard any Anita Baker - but what was coming out of the sound system was for sure not techno stuff - seemed kinda mellow almost like lift music (aka tracks from the 80's and 90's) - I do recall one Simply Red song, but cant remember what the others were.

And the beers were cooling nicely in the fridges and the spirits with unbroken Tax seals were all neatly lined up behind the bar. I am quite looking forward to a decent Bombay Gin & Tonic tomorrow night - that reminds me, must ask Jay to ensure she has real lemon as well as lime and Schweppes tonic water.

Mardhi, do you think it would be okey to bring a camera and take some pictures tonight? I have a few friends that I have told about this place, and they are not forum members, so I would like to show them how cool the bar is going to be.
