Just a quick note: I am now in Australia having passed through Bangkok for two nights earlier this week. I was able to visit the Guess Bar on the second afternoon. It did not open until 1600 hrs because Jay had had to do some shopping. I chatted to Jay about the business and the bar whilst she opened up. One girl came in and took me to show me the upstairs guest rooms. At Baht 350 short time (Baht 650 full night) those rooms are excellent value and certainly cleaner than, say, the PB Hotel. Furthermore, one does not get hot & sweaty€ walking up one flight of stairs compared to a couple of blocks walk to the PB, or other €œshort time€ hotels.
When we returned for a drink there were half a dozen terrific looking LB€™s in the bar (and one weird looking one).
My first impression is that Jay is putting together some awesome talent; that she is choosing sensible girls who will appeal to a wide gamut of tastes; that there appears to be a friendly atmosphere between the girls.
Given support Jay should have a great success. However, I do think that the aficionado Forums and Business Cards are not enough €“ when Jay feels confident that all is working well then there needs to be a web site, properly meta-tagged to pick up all the variations of Ladyboy enquiry. The web site needs to be really up-market in its design too. Success in financial terms could well depend on attracting the €œbetter-off€ clientele and keeping the drunken €œriff-raff€ out.
For those of you with wives, partners, girl-friends, guilt trips or the need for afternoon fun this has to be the place for you.
For the €œbutterfly€, explain to the first girl that you intend to sample as many of the wares on offer as you can, and you should avoid problems.
For those of you who want to start earlier than opening hours, look at the photos in the bar, tell Jay your choice(s) and I am sure Jay can arrange for the girl to meet you there at the appropriate time.
But please don€™t spoil it for everyone else €“ if you make a date, then turn up on time at the appointed hour. Furthermore, as a sign of good faith pay Jay the bar-fine (Baht 500) when you €œplace the order€ and maybe even the (Baht 350) Guest Room Fee. Jay has a business to run, let us help her make it successful!

My first guide to the joys of Guess Bar ? (See Post 22 above) was Jenny (yes, yet another one). Originally from Issan lately worked in Pattaya, joined Jay 7 days ago. Reasonably, basic, English skills; highly skilled horizontally; extremely enthusiastic; very well hung. This picture was taken after our session and the lights in the Guest Rooms are not conducive to reapplying make-up. Jenny looks better in the flesh. She would score highly if this was a TER review.

Nice report and from the sound of things, you have the same impression of the place of many of us that visit the bar. As a bar - it's not unique or that special - however for a variety of reasons, not least of all Jay, it all seems to come together. I think what a lot of people like is that they can interact and talk with the girl who owns it as she is there most of the time.

I still laugh to myself when I saw her sweeping the floor one afternoon and then getting the mop out and washing the floor as well as polishing all the tables, bar-top etc. For sure this is a unique experience, seeing the owner do this in Thailand. While she undoubtably is one of the most stunning LB's in her own right, she is also more than able and willing to roll up her sleeves and get the job done.

She is gradually getting more help into the bar - the bartender guy who is called Gong is a great support to her (and funny enough he told me both him and Jay used to be lb's at school together) as is the cashier girl. Everytime I go in there, something else seems to have slotted into place as finances allow and Jay feels comfortable with it - she still remains nervous and is worried about having so many staff on the payroll (I think she is up to 14 lb's now) but I am sure it will work out well for her. As you highlighted, the relationships between the girls are good - does not seem to be any bitchiness among them which is a nice change.

When I was talking to Jane (Jay's LB sister) last weekend, she said she had not been to KC3 for ages - she much prefers to help out her sister and she says she prefers the style of Guess bar - now considering that she was the number one girl in KC3, she is probably losing out financially as a result but these girls are close and she obviously prefers to help out Jay and sacrifice some cash in the process.

sound business sense consolidate her business base(ats members) then once she has a core group of customers she can move forward.

Once she has a web site up and running and i hope the members here who  are talanted in this area could assist with making of a page . This to work needs some luck that it is taken up by a good search engine. There could be other ways to spread the word via pictures on say limewire with web site attached , chat profiles with links to web site joining such sites as aff and chatting or web profile.
