It has been reported that Glen Bullard, the owner of many popular Bangkok bars and clubs including The Game Sports Bar on Sukhumvit Rd and Angelwitch in Nana Plaza, died suddenly on Saturday, aged only 44.
Actual facts or detailed information as to the cause of his sudden passing remain unclear at this time but those who knew him say he had a €œlife-threatening health condition€. Unconfirmed reports suggest he died as he was being taken by ambulance to a hospital in Pai, northern Thailand, where it is said he had been living with his family.
Glen first got into the bar business when he bought Angelwitch in Pattaya together with Angelwitch in Nana Plaza as a package deal. Next the two Hollywood go-go bars were acquired and after that he expanded by buying out the Crown Groups Nana Plaza portfolio of bars that included Lollipop, Voodoo, Fantasia, Obsession, Temptations, G-Spot and Carnival.
The long list of well known bars and clubs he was involved with also included The Game Sports Bar in Bangkok and a second branch in Chiang Mai, Nana Liquid nightclub, the Nana Beer Garden, Crossed Pistons bar in the Raja Hotel car park plus several other smaller bars around the Sukhumvit strip.
Some venues he owned outright, others came under the €œNana Group€ umbrella or partnerships. Over time bars were renamed and others were sold on but at his height he controlled almost half the bars inside Nana Plaza.
He leaves behind his new wife of two weeks and baby son.
