Yes in my 2 visits I also found Check In bar to be more relaxed and less pressure than most bars, including Guess Bar.

Unfortunately I was accosted by Nam as soon as I walked in but I also have to learn to brush these initial girls off and have my freedom to mingle.
I hate having to decide on a girl before i have even sat down or had a chance to get my bearings.

Next time instead of going through the main entrance in the Back Alley, I will to in throught the back hallways off Sukhumvit.
Usually the girls waiting to pounce are situated outside the back alley entrance.

I last visited Guess Bar in July 2012. My first ever visit there was on my second trip to Thailand in September 2006 (I was 26yrs old). Whenever I visited BKK, I'd always drop into Guess at it was more preferable than the high pressure bars of Nana.

On my most recent visit to BKK three weeks ago, I didn't go to Nana. Once I'd found Check-In Bar I was happy there and spent two nights playing pool and having a few drinks. These days I actually bypass the bars altogether and just find hook-ups via dating Apps such as Blendr and Tinder.

I'm off to Phnom Penh in a few weeks so might give you guys a report on that place once I return. This will be my second trip there in 5 months. For me, Thailand has become too expensive and high pressure. I love Phnom Penh and have now made that city my choice destination. Plenty of LB's around and much cheaper than BKK.

I don't know if you remember Fried Frunk who used to post here a few years back? We'll, he put me onto Cambodia and I've been addicted ever since. FYI, I used to post under the name of tomscam.

Great stuff tommyred! friedfrunk is legendary, he had amazing adventures that are still posted here. Yes, using social media is another way to meet lbs, and is a good alternative to the bars, but one needs to be aware of the drawbacks as well.

If you want to start using your old board name, it is possible to. You just have to request the password reset link which can be found in the forum FAQ sections lost passwords. You will get 2 links, one to edit your profile (don't use that one), and the other will reset your password, but it will go to the original e-mail address you registered with. If you would like that e-mail address changed, send one of the moderators/admins a pm and we can do that for you.

This thread is in need of some serious updates, so let me start.

Bar opens at 4pm and closes late, at earliest 3am. There are an average of 30 girls working everyday. There are more than that on staff but you should expect to see 30 odd girls at any given time unless heaps have been barfined.

Spent alot of time at Check In Bar while i was in Bangkok. Also attended the Halloween/volleyball/birthday party on October 31. It was very packed in there. Watch for the ladyboy in the pink panties she doesn't like to take no for an answer.

Thought the barbequing in the rubble to be quite amusing.

I ended up going home with a cutie from Laos that spoke no english, she was such a good kisser i could not say no.

Check In Bar is moving, according to their Facebook page. They are relocatiing to Soi 10 (across the road, down Soi 10, where the Chinese Gold Shop is located. They are tentatively schedule to open in the new location on Aug 6 - as they have to vacate the old location by the end of August. Likely more redevelopment happening in their old location so it probably won't be there in the future.

Yes, the Check Inn Bar 99 is the front building, which will probably be demolished/renovated, while Check In Bar is in a building just behind separated by a small walk way. Demolition all around Check In Bar was the sign they had to move and now the time is almost upon them.

Dropped in Check In Bar during a short trip a few weeks ago. The new bar is quite nice - good surroundings, and has short time rooms upstairs. Prices are good compared to the Nana Plaza Bars - lady drinks 150 Baht (as compared to 190 - 200 Baht for NEP lb bars and Patpong lb bars). Sukhumvit Soi 10 is just a short walk away from the old Sukhumvit Soi 7 location - about 5 min and across the road. The landmark is the Chinese Gold shop which is right on the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 10. You go up the Soi, and the first left you turn in. Walk about 30 meters (100 feet) down around the corner and you'll see Check In Bar on the left, past Lollipop Bar.



I went early on a Friday night, so not that many ladies were in yet - (7:30 pm). There were 7, 2 service, and 5 staff lbs. I was told later there could be up to 30 ladies working.
