I enjoy my games of pool at Guess.  Sorry to disappoint Mr Misery, but it's still there - just been rotated 90degrees.  And was resurfaced not too long ago.

Certain 'screamers' at the table no longer work there - altho Jenny is back

Beer has always been considered as one of the most elegant LB's - now she has been tasked with spreading her magic dust on the entire team of hostesses. No easy feat - but one she is rising to already. End result come closing last night - EVERY member of staff, Incl both of the service girls except for couple of the PR team had been barfined out !!!!!!!.

Guess Bar WILL be open on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June. Many places wll be closed but Guess will be open, however not serving alcohol on the 25th due to the pre-election voting taking place.

Great to see Beer back in the bar. IMO, Guess has always had a much friendlier feel to it when Beer is about doing her inimitable thing.

Being a very "shy" bloke it gives me the perfect excuse to venture inside alone to play Pool and make conversation with the girls  

Mind you, looking at Post 304 I am pretty sure whats gonna happen next time Im in the Guess Bar

I think this girl said her name was NAP - however that is subject to some checking. Totally new to the scene, shy but very elegant.

Was in Guess Bar Sunday night. First time since the new layout, but for the sentimental there is still one black couch in the corner (I LIKE seedy).

The beer cooler had labels stuck all over it "We cannot sell beer for legal reasons". Right. But I didn't want beer for legal reasons, only for drinking reasons. So I bought a couple. (It was later explained that the notices were left over from Saturday).

Had a couple of games of pool with Ice: in the first I managed to beat her, just, though she was showing me her personal cue as I tried to make my shots - and then she sez "I beat you next time I go with you, OK?" after which bang bang bang all the balls are in the pocket. Little Hustler. So off to short time room (I didn't want to do it, Your Honour!) for topping and bottoming - yum.

Many years ago some bm proposed building a footrail at cost, with labor provided gratis (or was it to be covered by some staff action?  )

I can't remember who it was, but they said they could weld some pipe (didn't have to be brass) and mount it at a very low cost compared to buying a real brass footrail.
