When you've had enough of Guess and Nana

OK I am getting a little jaded.

The constant clamouring for lady drinks, the inane conversation (what you name, where you come from etc etc) the half-hearted attempts to interest your cock, the shitty music, the silly drinks prices, the vapid stares into the nearest mirror. I am bored of Nana Plaza and even Guess is getting a little old at times.

So I've been spending my time and baht at the Sukhumvit street bar on the soi 4 side..... definitely not Guess Bar 2. Which idiot came up with that name anyway?

Not all the girls are worth looking at but they are fun, can hold a limited conversation (this is Thailand after all) and don't keep on rubbing your trousers when you tell them you are just not interested.

The perfect hang-out for jaded old feckers like myself.

20 years old (?) face of an angel, legs that just keep on going and a very pleasant and gentle personality. I joked with her about becoming a superstar, she wouldn't have any of it. But at least she won't be using money on silicone add-ons to her face. Nature just gets it right sometimes.

Haven't been to Bangkok for awhile but I really enjoy the street bars. Something more authentic. Just wouldn't be happening in Manhattan or London.

There is a very nice girl there called Amy as I remember - thats the problem going there (especially with people like Donnnny) - your normally half smashed.      Still from what i remember she looked nice, slim but filled out in the right places and very polite.    Is Ice (ex Guess Bar) still hanging around there?  She was also always very polite to me and easily recognisable as she wears fishnet tights with sandals  

I had heard that the street scene had 'evolved' quite a lot in BKK but as I have not been there for ages cannot report personally.   By evolved, I mean its become either non existent one night and then full on the next - seems to be no co-ordination of any description which is often the best way for an impromtu piss up at 3am in BKK.

I was there with Eyemahk recently, a great buzz to be in this mostly, 97%, Thai area drinking 50 Baht large Leos and watching LBs that 97% of BMs have never seen. Short time 300 Baht, where would you get it.

Over the years I have met some amazing talent just walking Sukhumvit, although I made the experience that lately most only want to go ST as some years ago LT was no prob at all.

But then it seems that I am turning into a ST-man as well as I prefer to have the morning to myself and get up and do things and not lie in bed until lunchtime.

300 was one quote we got.  Prices may vary.  Most customers came up on motorbikes or cars.  English is a rarity here. Keep your wits about you and try to blend in.

The girl in red in the first pic is Lynda.  Nice girl, took her a couple times, actually I bought her those earings, haha.  BB got a pic of us the night of the meetup.  It's posted elsewhere about the sidewalk bars.  
    As to barfine, you are gonna laugh at this one.  So I go there one night for drinks and to see who I can see (i had been looking for the one in black a few pics down, we had some verbal foreplay back in Dec. but I was leaving the next few days for Cambodia) and I sit at one at the end, there are various ones that setup there that are not there every night.  So this one has a "mamasan" and the bartender actually hooks me up with a place to get decent cheap cigars.  And LYNDA is there, we make googoo eyes at each other and she motions, I go over say hello, and go back to my drink.  Motion her over and she comes, has a drink, then I say lets go ST baby.  She talks with the owner of this sidewalk bar and comes back and tells me it's a 200 or 300 baht  BARFINE!!!  good grief, I had one drink, it's an open sidewalk, Lynda came over for one and this nutter thinks she can get barfine? fuck that.  We got up and walked over to the one Lynda had been sitting at (one in the pics here).  Chat for a few, then we go to loom
