i would also like the girls to wear one green bracelet for every inch of cock she has. so a girl with a 6 inch tool would have 6 green bracelets.

and if there were a pink charm hanging from one of the bracelets, she is circumsized.
a brown charm dangling from the bracelet would mean she is uncircumsized.

Ah!!! It just now dawned on me why those ladyboys in the tribe north of CheingMai wear those loops around their neck. Some of them must have some very long dicks.

Too confusing... Issue them with ID bar cards with all this stuff on it!

Any idea on Opening hours? Was just thinking if the Bar Opened earlier, say 4 o'clock you may be able to tap into the afternoon market before Nana opens and every now and then this board gets requests for info on afternoon action.

Then again no idea how you are going to get the staff out of bed and into work for 4.

Keep up the info thought as I will definatley check it out if it's up and running for my next trip in mid January.

Having been to BKK and Nana only 3 times in the past 2 yrs I'm still a rookie too.............but the idea of having the girls wait until we call them over seems a bit restrictive....why not just say.."first come forst serve"....if one LB has already grabbed an entering "client".......that means hands off for the other girls until the "client" calls one over or gives the first one the boot. All these "rules" will have to get sorted out as the club matures and "we" provide feedback to the owners. I see this as an evolving process as long as the owners are flexible and willing to change or modify. I for one can figure out if she is pre or post and need no arm band or label for that. I hope that idea was a joke. I prefer to have a "str8" bar atmosphere with the beauties hanging around willing to talk and have a dialog before they push for the ST room upstairs. Yeh, I know why we go to these places....but humor me and include some foreplay before they wisk you off for a ST...at least give me the illusion that there is some "chemistry" between us.

Keep the info coming as I think this feedback is good for the owners to hear............Aloha
            ....so,  you're really a guy?..............

Hope you dont mind guys, but I showed this thread to Jay the other day when I saw her and she read through all the comments. I really think she is on the right page on this one, but even I had no idea what kinda music Jai Dee is on about. Suffice to say, what she said is, she wants people to say what they like and she will try and accomodate those requests. If you want special music, put it on some kind of media and bring it into the bar and she will store it and play it. She also took the opportunity to bend a few guys ears when we were out at the weekend about what they want.

I have to say she is getting very nervous as she is seeing all her hard earned cash going out to builders and furniture makers and is petrified that nobody is going to come and visit the bar. I think she is worrying unduly but for sure, she listens and reacts. The bar is still expected to be open sometime in late November and she told me that the wooden floor is going down on the 10th and all the sofa's are being delivered on the 12th of this month. I saw for myself the carpenters making the new bar area so its all happening. Still worried about how the cactus plants are going to fit in but as she was pretty tensed up - I thought twice about mentioning that.

She spent most of the daytime reading up about cocktails and how to make them so you can expect those to feature on the drink list and her phone was ringing all the times with friends of her asking her if they can come and work in the bar. I think the key here though is that this place will evolve - she is learning all the time and is lucky to have a real cousin who owns a big and very successful bar further down Sukhumvit who is mentoring her along the way. For sure dont expect everything to be perfect from day one but I think she is doing a great job and will really complement the current gogo offerings.

                Cheers

Any ideas on the approximate start-up costs for this type of venue? 100k? 500k?

What are the monthly rents like in that Soi 1 complex?

if you could tell her that the one gurantee to success in this kind of bar is attentive intelligent management....

better put: a manager that gives a shit.

the biggest issue, hire decent LBs that respect the customers that respect them... no psychos hounding you for a drink or a date. i always buy drinks , but for the one girl i like and CHOOSE.

she sounds like she is doing her best and i promise to take it for its best aspects and forgive any mistakes, after all its a bar!

the other most important thing for business is to offer what your competitors do not. be something different...

were all excited.... good luck to your friend...

I think LB bars are becoming more & more popular, & I also think the quantity of LB's is on the increases as well. I have been traveling & going to the LOS for the last 27yrs or so, there were few LB bars & punters were embarrassed to be there & seen with them, ( I never sufferred from this personally ). Now more & more blokes & a few women, are begining to accept there is fun to be had with the 3rd gender & over coming there embarrassment. Customers are on the increase for this type of entertainment.

I think it is not a case of whether she will get customers, but rather can she keep them. Having traveled so much, being mobbed at the door, bill padding, pick pocketing, insane & violent LB's are not such an issue for me, however reading thru' this forum & observing other punters in the bars these are clearly important issues for most.

If I am called up on my emergency tour in late December early January, I for one will be a customer of this new bar. I wish Jay every success with her venture & I am looking forward to my first Singha & G & T chaser in this establishment.

                      Good luck Jay.
                      Robin

You pays your money & takes your chance. This isn't a rehearsal do it now, it's no good looking back when it's a lover & wishing.... ITS TOO LATE.

I dont know what her start up costs are but for sure she is trying to do it properly and her and the gay designer mate she has hooked up with seem to have some really good ideas. I know she has been lucky in that almost everyone who is helping her is basically do so because they like her and is pretty much getting most things at cost price. I think the designer guy is helping her for free because they went to school together. Another friend is building her website for free and another mate is doing all the computer/music stuff at cost. As you have seen already she is painting it herself along with some other friends. Having said that I reckon its in the hundreds of thousands but dont know exactly. I think the rent is pretty reasonable for the area but dont forget, its still a small bar in a quiet complex.

                        Cheers

For sure she is intelligent - she has a degree in Accounting as do a couple of her parners (not in accounting but in other subjects). Time will tell of course, but certainly she is very willing to listen and learn - just keep in mind its Thailand and 'thinking out of the box' does not come naturally here.

In my opinion she is "thinking outside the box" as this venue will be unique.

(Remember when the first roti shop opened in Siam Sq. ~ 2 years ago? A huge line waiting. Now you can't walk 10 m without seeing a roti ship/counter.)

The existing LB bars in Bangkok are, with the exception of Casanova, just tiny parts in a huge enterprise (Temptations is owned/operated by the partners who run 4 bars on soi Cowboy: Long Gun, Suzy Wong,..; Cascade and Obsessions by the group that owns many of the bars in NEP, and KC3 is part of the King (or Crown?) group. They are high volume places. There would be no sense in competing with them. (I think KC3 generates the most revenue of the LB bars.)

BTW, I like the uniforms, and think they are a good idea in general. Maybe have free-style once a week or every two weeks on the slowest night just to keep everyone happy.

So the bar discussed in this thread will be unique. Good luck to Jay and her partners.

Having dabbled in the bar/restaurant business.....something that is essential is be on site as much as possible.....further, she needs to watch 2 places......what goes out the front(cash register) that she doesn't know about and what goes out the back(food, liquor) that she doesn't know about.

In the USA you'll always see a relative on the cash register and one in the kitchen in most Asian run enterprises....people you can trust.

Sounds like she'll have at least the forum clientele as customers....and the word will spread fast regardless if it is good or bad....she needs to make sure it is good..........Aloha
