True , I had a similar experience in Pattaya a few months back in a beer bar that I've been drinking in for a few years now , and I'd also got to know the owner (non Thai ) quite well over the years .

The situation was both akward and embarrasing as I had brought a few friends to the bar also .

His loss though , Ill not be back nor will my friends .

I respect your decision not to name the bar, but a heads up could also prevent other board members from encountering the same same rip off.

It wasn't a ladyboy bar , just a beer bar on soi 8 .
I didn't name it because I actually can't help liking the guy that owns it .

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie on this forum so please be gentle with me  
Was in Temptations bar in Nov. 2008 so wanted to add my tuppence worth on it.
First of all I'm happy to report that I didn't feel pressurised to barfine any LBs on either night (I was there on 2 consecutive nights). No particularly big pressure to buy drinks either.
Anyway, first night... had a chat and a couple of drinks with Anita. Very pretty girl, would have loved to BF her but was already a 'spent force' if you know what I mean...
Second night... chat and drink with JJ, one of the most beautiful LB I have ever set my eyes upon (in my humble opinion of course). Her pics don't do her any justice, I think. JJ is the one on the left. Again... no action to report as I had to catch my flight back home that very night and I don't like to do things in a hurry

Recently I was impressed on the improvement of the flesh for sale in Temptation , so impressed that i brought there a bunch of serious forum members ( not the inexperienced sissy type).
Big mistake , some selfproclaimed friend  behaving like the mamasan followed exactly the average thai logic in times of caresty.
After made us feel like "special Vip guests" (of course, we were the only customers there) she tried to rip us off whit the bill which came 3 times under my suspicious nose  whit different numbers on it every time.
Some dubious ladydrinks were floating in the air and some fake wais were on display for no reasons.
That made the old Panzer suspicious but he was too busy  entrataining one of his buddy in his usual aggressive way to hold a conversation.
That night changed the feelings even of the less jaded members who thinks that thai bars care about long time-nice-big spender customers.
Nice lesson to people supporting dying bars thinking that their "working friends" and the management
care about them .

very good content in this post Panzer. i suggest everybody reads it n takes it in. the bars dont give a fck about you,many thais dont see further than the nose on their face thats not a put down its very much a cultural thai thing.
isnt it odd tho that in the west we get ripped off every minute of the day and say and do nothing,yet when in LOS when on the whole lifes a ball our bin is altered slightly we go ape shite,ha.................ive been guilty to!

anyway ive had my ups n downs in LOS as we all have,but ive learnt now to never say never again..........because one year a bar can be shite ( and depends on your mood to) next year its the dogs balls and youve had the best night ever!.

as for supporting bars, i dont believe too much in this,as if one is too shite then it should go anyway..........another better one will take its place,without doubt.

Temptations is what it is,its ok and allways worth poppin in for a beer if passin...............if i hadnt done so 3 years ago just on the offchance then i would not have ended up giving Areeya a large serving of my cock that night.....................so when in LOS the Moral is(Moral ,did i just use that word?) dont expect anything because anything can and will happen and change.
