I agree 2 million is way too much but what some of them ask in HCMC or Hanoi.
Where I used to live in another small city in the North just a few hours from Hanoi, where there were no foreigners to inflate prices for both GG and LB, either on the motorbike or walking or from basic brothels went for the standard price of 200K. That was less than 120 km out of Hanoi.
In my experience Vietnamese are the most rapacious race on earth, so. you have to bargain hard and a few words of Vietnamese and a friendly See Om driver can be a great help.
