Anyhow, Monday and Friday nights at Peanuts (Club 7969) are decent enough. There is a hot Asian girl that does one of the topless dances in the cabaret show. She is also a porn star.

Mostly girls for hire. Lots of variety ethnicity wise.

The girls load out after closing and head down to a late night eatery. I forgot the name, but surely someone here knows it.

There is a new place opening up in Long Beach as well with the old (quite literally) Queen Mary crowd.

My real question is how much money in US dollars should I take for my first trip to Thailand? After reading all the info from you guys, I still need to narrow it between Patong and Pattaya. I'm also a golfer and there seem to be plenty of courses to play over there. Is there any time of year that's better?

Depends on what you want to do and how you want to do it. I think there was a thread in the fishbox that is a few weeks old where several posters, including myself, posted a breakdown of what a trip to LOS usually costs us.

At a high level, to stay in a mid-range hotel, have money for touristy activities during the day, and an allowance for fun at night, plan on spending anywhere from $150 to $200USD per day. Thats including food, transportation, drinks, tips, barfine, and the girl. Obviously you can play around with these figures, but its better to over budget especially if its your first time to Thailand.

Be warned, Patong and Phuket is a fucking tourist trap. You'll get gouged left and right there if you're not careful. I would assume that Patong prices per day will be similar to BKK whilst your expenses in Pattaya will be less because things are quite a bit cheaper there relative to BKK. I'm no expert in golf, but I've heard that both locales are home to nice courses but I wouldn't expect the greens fees to be cheap as they will cater to farang.

The best bet would be to compile a list of things you want to do, search the web, and get an idea of what its going to cost. Also do a search for that cost thread I mentioned in the Fish Box.

Also during the summer, from now til say September is the rainy season. I doubt golfing will be great then if you have thunderstorms and torrential rains every few hours.

The eatery mentioned is called the Yukon about a 1/2 mile east of Peanuts/7669 club after closing you can see the Girls trolling Sunset Blvd.

LA (South OC) guy here and just came back from my first trip to Bkk. Was there 7 days and I spent $2000 just on "women." That's a high number because I was spending freely.

If you search Craigslist there's plenty of TS girls and also I heard there are a few clubs in TJ with some TS talent.
