It was July 2007 that I last visited Amsterdam (and reported above) and, after this week's visit, it  will be a long time before I will want to visit it again.

I had to do 2 nights there this week and I stayed in the centre near to the Red Light District.

I knew that the three TSs (one post-op, 2 pre-ops) whom I have reported on previously were not in The Netherlands anymore and, having dropped two of them e-mails asking for recommendations, neither was helpful €“ they were friendly and both had words of warning, but could not give me any recommendations.

I walked back to the hotel and after a shower slept until 9 am and then had to rush to a meeting. I finished the meeting by 1 pm and took another walk round Barndesteeg and Bloedstraat. The day shift was horrific. I did a circle three times and they were the worst collection I have ever seen anywhere. I then walked over to the Singel canal where, occasionally there have been Filipino LBs around #43 €“ but no blue lights in that area now.

I went back to my room and attended to some report writing. I had an early dinner with a client which was finished by 9 pm and took another walk round the area. A different set of providers from the night before, ranging from awful to nightmarish. At 10.30 pm after 3 tours round I settled for an early night.

Between the high cost (in Euros) and the horrific looking talent, I hope I do not have to visit Amsterdam again.

At least in London, even though the prices are high on an hourly basis one can negotiate for a long session and, if one is a regular, and you book ahead and include dinner or a bottle of perfume, a deal can be done at an acceptable rate €“ but going to the Far East is always preferable.
