There is not much to tour in Singapore - it is smaller than Cebu Island, a lot smaller, you can go from one end to the other by mass transit rail in about 45 minutes or so.
You can go to Malaysia and Indo very easy...
It is not the same as it was 20 years ago - to my mind it is spoilt. It was like a sort of pastiche of England planted in the far east. That was it's special charm.
The Singapore government tried to modernize everything and in some ways lost the plot. Fortunately they got the message before they went too far
If you have not been there before - yes go and see it. It now has a strange mix of the old British Empire and a modern asian city. It is not a cheap place to stay or shop though.
Write to Stewart and ask him about places to go and see and about places to shop.
I would not like to see him in a kilt though
Go and enjoy youself.

Oh Lisa you poor girl - getting a tour of Singapore with a nock kneed scottish git !!! Probably tighter than 2 coats of paint ! Prepare to travel by rickshaw and enjoy the culinary delights of Ronald McDonald !!!!
I wouldn't pass water over Scotland but Singapore is particularly delightful. You must have afternoon tea at Raffles but I fear our scottish friend might take you to starbucks ! Sentosa is nice too but the cable car maybe too expensive for scotsman.
I would volunteer myself but unfortunately I'm too busy locking up the bastards - not literally you understand haha!!

I think the only place I have shopped is Orchard Towers!! Come to think of it, it is about the only place I have seen outside home and the office as well......mind you, I have only been here 12 months......1 step at a time, eh?
