These documentaries would serve a better purpose if they were translated & shown to the LBs of Thailand. What's the Thai word for oedema?

Pacman - unfortunately many Thai lbs know the dangers and drawbacks of loose silicone injections and still go ahead anyway - so showing them the video probably wouldn't do any good as they have seen their friends suffer from it.

What year was this doco made?

I found it to be interesting but also depressing. Putting one's faith in voodoo in order garner success was rather bizarre for me. Must be a Brazilian thing? None of them seemed happy as they all chased "the dream".

I guess it puts the lives of the LB's in LOS into perspective as they wouldn't be much different.

The person who posted on Youtube estimates it was around 1994. Looking at the cars in the video, that looks about right.

I don't know if voodoo is strictly Brazilian, as it is also common in the Caribbean. I do think that some things in the documentary are common with Thai LBs, although it would be a stretch to say that all of it does.
