Cheap tickets L.A. to Bangkok

I hope I am posting in the right area, its been awhile since my last post. I was told by Star Tours in Hollywood, California that China Air will have a very cheap filght from Los Angeles to Bangkok round trip for $720.00 including tax. Low season starts August 24th and this cheap filght will start. This is for a coach ticket, so if you can stand a small seat this is a great deal. Does anyone know of a cheaper flight? Evergreen Deluxe on EVA Airlines is $1,700.00!

I am not aware of any lower rates, that's definitely one to watch for.

There have been a few cheap fares showing up from East coast US lately too, either Kuwaiti or Emirates had some (can't remember which) under $900 for August I believe. Delta has some sub-$1100 for some dates in the fall as well, but personally I would pony up the extra $150 to take Cathay instead of "Hellta".
