Airplane tickets from Zurich to BKK

you can book through them, but confirmation is not instantaneous
or instead then go direct to the airlines websites.
Lufthansa has been advertising cheap rates to Europe, but not sure it applies the other way around.

here is an illustration of what I said about flight booking platforms.

and t2-global.com is no exception !

all platforms give me a cheapest super bargain price (only 2 seats left !!!) of 1383 CHF for flying from ZRH to BKK with royal jordanian.


then I began searching manually.

surprise, the price of the flight heathrow-bangkok on the 14th feb and back on 26th feb is only 500 EUR (= 740 CHF) with jet aviation.

the flight connecting to Zürich is 147.96 EUR (= 220 CHF)

ummm.... that is 960 CHF,  30% less than the quoted price.


So, what I *would like to know* is how stupid those assholes think we are

t2-global shows 1388 USD, same same their brethren.

and I already had a displeasant experience when I flew with Pakistan International to NY - but that was years ago, and since I've never seen somebody die on an airplane again.

but 400 CHF are worth thinking it over.
I'll also save approx. 160 CHF by staying a day less.

If I arrive at LHR at 08:05 @terminal 1, will I have enough time to check-in for a flight at 10:05 @terminal 4?

whats the average time to clear passport control (I'm coming from Switzerland), get luggage and get out of Term 1 ?

I have only 2 hours, this could get very tight if lines are long.

Supposing the plane is on time (which they never are):
08:05 scheduled landing
08:12 effective time when I set foot outside the plane
08:22 arrival at luggage belt
08:32 luggage comes out
08:36 arrival at passport contro
08:41 passport controlled
08:45 arrival at shuttle stop
08:53 average wait for shuttle (max wait: 15 min)
08:56 arrival in Term 4
09:06 arrival at Jet Airways check-in for BKK

this should do it, but the schedule is very very tight.

I will try to get the phone number of Jet Airways' check-in counter to warn them that I am there.

How long before the flight does the check-in counter close?
Most of them close 45 or 60 mins before? If it is 60 Mins, then I am pretty much fucked!

you said 10.05 check in - not departure - if departure - NO CHANCE at all.

with current security levels at LHR you will need at least 2 hrs to arrive at terminal before flight, therefore 8.05am at terminal 4.
