Thanks to everyone for their replies and advice.

I have decided to just do Asia and will be going to Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Laos and China.

Starting in Phuket on 11th of September booked yesterday.

A few things prompted my decision. One was the cost of the flights which was going to be over $5K AUD and also that I did not get a response from Hilda. I spoke to her on msn and then sent her an email about 10 days back with all my questions bu no response.

So my budget will now go along way in Asia.

If money was no object I'd do a colonial safari for two weeks in Africa... an overland tour of Australia for three weeks... a long weekend in Tokyo... a week at a quiet fishing village in Italy after a hectic week at the tables in Monaco...
