Anyone recently in Cambodia ?

Just back from Cambodia.  Got to spend 2 days in Phnom Penh and visited the Updown bar where I had met Bobo about 6 months ago.  She was there that night  but was not working.  Just came in to say hi to her peeps.

When I saw her 6 months ago, she had that nice long hair but must have been a wig.  Last March when she came to meet at the hotel, she checked in with reception and they were convinced she was a GG.  And I agree. Looked great. But when I saw her two weeks ago, she looked just like the picture 2 notes above from EyeMahk.  

I was drinking in updown and she came in after day job in a beauty salon.  She looked nothing like the person I saw 6 months ago.  No makeup and hair was short.   Didnt even recognize her until she said her name.  It was so disconcerting that I didnt even have the muster to pursue.  Wow.  Hope she doesnt do that again to the customers.

Could not find any others that evening so had to resort to GG's all night.  Average rate is $20 at most places liek Walkabout.  You can get $15 if you bargain or is your 2nd or 3rd shot for the night and you have time to waste.  They will eventually come down. Can find some off street places for $10 but need ask motos and quality drops.

Any other locations that I should have gone to that anyone can recommend for LB?  Candy Bar still open?

Candy Bar is still open, as is Updown but its been sold now and is pretty dead. Mermaid is also closed now. Banaza on st 104 had a couple of qute LB's recently and there is one permenent one in Tatoo Bar.

Was in Siem Reap in June for four nights and spent two of these with LBs i met in bars or in the street. Wasn't too difficult. The bar on the corner of Pub Street that sells itself as Angelina's Jolie's bar of choice - Red Stamp? - had one or two working the crossroads outside, while I picked up one from a bar whose name escapes me but she joined me later in The Temple Bar on Pub Street and is apparently a regular in there.

Neither were great experiences and I doubt I would bother again Ernesto...

There's something of a morality crusade going on in Cambodia right now and plenty of bars have copped it big time. One bar - Cheerleaders - was busted for the girls showing the occasional flash of tit or bum while dancing and the owner (who had breezed over from Thailand a while back) is looking at five years unless he can rustle up a rumoured $50k.

What's happened is that new legislation means that if cops choose to interpret the law, virtually any bar with girls (or for that matter LBs) can be closed and the owner thrown into jail for years for being involved in 'trafficking,' which basically means sex being sold on the premises.

This has impacted on the LB scene horribly. 'Classic' nightclub where you'd find some seriously cute femboys has closed down. The cops also rounded up all the Wat Phnom freelancers and read the riot act to them. They are banned from street work there and will be arrested and jailed if seen in the area again.

Mermaid closed down with the owner deciding it was no longer worth the hassle.

The owners of Updown - a couple of Pattaya boys - have cleared off to Thailand until things blow over and you won't find any lbs there now.

Candy have also got rid of their two resident lbs.

It's actually not that bad for expats as we are being phoned nightly by starving ladyboys offering cut price services, but it isn't the best time for a tourist to bowl into town looking for action.

Of course, this may just be a temporary thing. We'll see what happens in a month or two when the dust has settled.

Finally and re Bobo pictured above and her apparent decline. She's not a teenager anymore and it's as simple as that. Plus she's not been looking after herself and has piled on the pounds. I've seen this happen to plenty of supposed superstars before when they start believing their own hype.

I may not disagree with your thoughts about clamping down on some places, I dont see anything that has changed. I been going to Cambodia for years now and it is a hit and miss as far as crack downs. If they do crack down in one place, it is to show the public they are doing something. It is for the press because after the dust settles, things go back to the same in many places.

Like updown bar. I was talking to the manager and if I wanted LB, all I had to do was tell her and she would call some in. Maybe it was because of recent crackdown that they are not there but they will come back in time. It is cyclical.

When I was in Siem Reap, I went to Temple club and there were at least 2 LB there each night. I might add that they were very passable and looked great. They mingle all over. Also in Siem Reap, the street LB's have moved a bit farther out. They are on the road that parallels the river. How do I know? I asked a LB in Zanzibar to show me where they hang out. She could not show me fast enough. We hopped in a Tuk and $1 later there were 5 LB hanging out in the park near one of the bridges. Took one and the one and the guide....lol..had a good time. They are all femboys but some look good. You gotta be dilligent and take action to find them. They will always be there. Maybe they change location from time to time.

Zanzibar has at least one or two working every night. And if they are not inside, you can find them across the street on the corner.
No shortage in Siem Reap. I saw at least 8 different ones in the 3 days I was there. And I know there are more because it was rainy season and when it rains, fewer show up outdoors.

Don't know where to post this, but if it is in the wrong place, I am sure someone will move it for me.

I am just finishing a week in PP / Sihanoukville; the whole P4P scene as I could see is centred around bars and seems very low key compared with Thailand - far fewer bars (which are conveniently located in small streets in PP or a single stret in S'ville), far fewer punters and some of the bar girls do not go home with the punters - maybe the thai girls are lying when they tell me that I am a "hansum man" because I got knocked back on several occasions in PP!

It took until the last night to find an LB bar. It's called Baraza in Street 104 and has a mixed population of LBs and GGs; they operate a variable barfine system - before 10, its $10, after 10 it's $5. The lady I ended up with was very sweet and good in bed. What more could you want?

On another note, don't go to S'ville for the diving; it's not good (not surprising when you consider where it is in relation to the Gulf of Thailand) and bloody expensive.

Apart from that, I've had a really good time here. Ah well, back to Patts tonight.

Just read through this thread.
I'll be in PP from late April to early July for some work, so I'll need to be discrete.
If any BM will be in PP during that time and could teach me the ropes there a bit, that would be great.
I'll rent a room in a guesthouse but will prob not want to use it for p4p as it will be near my workplace.
Any hints on short time rooms would also be appreciated.

I just arrived in Pattaya and shall be here for some 3 weeks.

I travel to Phnom Penh often and can report that LBs are there in increasing abundance. One will not find an LB Bar nor a 'raunchy' Nana style bar since the authorities crack down on any overly sleazy or outrageous bar.

So one has to look hard amongst the GG bars to find LBs. Another factor making it hard to find the LBs is that the GGs are not so helpful (Cambodians are much more conservative than Thais, many Khmer bar girls find a man seeking LBs to be weird or worse.

Nonetheless, some of the top girly bars have some LBs.

Bar 136 (on street 136) has a hottie ... she can be identified easily.

Bar 104 (on street 104 ... duhhhh) has one or two ... they have a pool table on the second floor which serves as a "side room" of sorts ... one can get away with a reasonable amount of fun there.

Candy Bar (on one of the two streets above) has some LBs but does not seem to be pushing the theme as much as before.

The above streets each have 10 bars so seek there and one shall find.


In Siem Reap, things are very different indeed. Getting laid is not easy as the authorities are very strict about hostess bars, LBs ... most massage parlours do not even allow handjobs.

There are LBs walking around Pub Street at night ... they hang outside the barriers which are enforced and keep the riff raff away from the pubs.

was in PP again recently and took another look for LBs.

Baraza (street 104) is definitely worth a look, went there around 3-4pm to see what's going on and found a very game and recommendable LB (will find her name and post). tall, hot body and nice, large strong cock. she pounded the hell out of me and asked me to return the favourite ... she was then ready for another round shortly there after.

paid her US$30 which is generous for PP, especially as it is low season and few tourists thanks to the problems in Bkk and the global economy. there is a short time hotel 5 minute walk away that is totally clean, safe and US$5. wish Bkk was this affordable

went back to street 136 and found a few more there, including two totally hot LBs at a bar near 136 Bar (forget the name, but they are obvious as you walk in)

Then I'd duck into the ArtDeli, artdeli.org €” it's a gallery, café and workshop space that's a fun place to hang out in the afternoon.

Come happy hour, I can usually be found at in the Elephant Bar at Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor, tel: (855-92) 963 888, and then I'd probably work up an appetite by wandering through the craft stalls at the night market. If I'm not cooking dinner at home, I'll get a candlelit table with some friends at Abacus Garden, tel: (855-12) 644 286. It's a top French restaurant and does great steaks, goat-cheese salad and tuna tartare.

I like to start my day early, jogging under the trees along the river up past the FCC Angkor hotel, tel: (855-63) 760 280, or I'll take a 10-km loop through Angkor Wat. If it's too hot or I'm feeling lazy, I'll pack a picnic breakfast and hire a bicycle. Or if I really plan ahead, I'll make the one-hour drive to Kulen mountain around 8 a.m. to do some hiking and visit the waterfall, temple and big Buddha up there. You can buy food on the mountain, but I usually grab one of the picnic baskets from the Hotel de la Paix, tel: (855-63) 966 000. I also sometimes visit the bakery at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra, tel: (855-63) 964 600. They do the best baguettes in town, and like many Khmers, I enjoy my bread and pâté.

Generally life here is very bohème, and the extent of my day's activities might be hanging at my friend Pisith Li's amazing silver-jewelry boutique, Garden of Desire, tel: (855-12) 319 116, or drinking gin and tonics on what's known as Pub Street.

An espresso or latte and a flaky pastry at Raffles' Café d'Angkor is a great way to wake up, followed perhaps by a swim at the Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa, tel: (855-63) 760 428 €” they have an immense saltwater pool, perfect for laps. There's also a great pool at Hotel de la Paix, surrounded by lots of foliage for a sense of seclusion. For lunch, there are so many good local restaurants around. Make sure you try amok €” freshwater-fish fillets marinated in coconut milk and cooked in banana-leaf cups. It's a delicious Cambodian specialty.

Siem Reap is a great place to shop, so in the afternoon I'd visit the FCC arcade for embroidered silk couture at the Jasmine Boutique, or maybe I'd explore Psar Chaa €” the Old Market. I might visit Eric Raisina at his home and workshop a few kilometers out of town, tel: (855-63) 963 207. He's a Madagascar-born, Paris-trained designer and produces handcrafted textiles that have been used by brands like Christian Lacroix and Yves Saint Laurent. Afterward, I might cool off Khmer-style, with a chilled coconut juice drunk straight from the husk.

An unmissable experience is the balloon ride over Angkor Wat, tel: (855-12) 520 810. You clamber into a basket and rise up on a 200-m tethered-balloon flight to enjoy amazing aerial views of the temples, Phnom Bakheng, West Baray, Srah Srang and other ruins amid the surrounding jungle and rice paddies. If you want to really splurge, you can take a sightseeing flight with Helicopters Cambodia, tel: (855-63) 963 316.

Afterward, I suggest an aromatherapy massage at Body Tune spa, tel: (855-63) 764 141, and then some dinner. Meric, Hotel de la Paix's signature restaurant, is my favorite spot for a lavish meal. Try their sweet-and-sour pomelo and prawn salad, then the lamb-loin-and-garlic confit, followed by fresh strawberries with pistachio ice cream. Move over to the hotel's Arts Lounge and have a digestif while feasting your eyes on the work of young Khmer artists.
