UK Visa for LB

Maybe iam a bit too drunk but its my first saturday night in uk after a trip to LOS and iam depressed as fuck. Sitting here planning my next trip which will be in a few months time and thought why wait, why not fly a takeaway lb over for a month or two.

Has anyone ever tried to get a uk visa for a lb? And am i stupid to even think about it

Got a visa for 'Herself' back in 2004 and even though we broke up about 9 months ago it's still valid until her passport expires.

The main things to remember are that you have to show that she has a reason to return to Thailand and that she will not be a burden on the taxpayer.

Did you have to act as a sponsor on application or is it all down to the applicant?

Hello Squirly,

I had to sponser her. Do a Google search for UK visas and you will find the Foreign Office website which gives good clear information on what is required.

Forget the rubbish that's published on most websites - especially ThaiVisa.com - though I would suggest a quick read through to see some of the mistakes that others have made.

For the application(s) Herself just went on her own and each time said that the visa people were really nice.
Contrary to what most people think the Visa section has NO interest in seeing you - only your paperwork.

My gf has visited the UK 3 times in the last 4 years. She runs her own business and is financially independant.

However, it is clear that the UK authorities are making it more difficult for thais (not necesarliy lbs) to obtain a visa.
