Planning a weekend wt a nice ladyboy out of Manila

I'd love a nice hotel on a beach without travelling too far , with privacy and ladyboyfriendly (as much as possible in Philippines) -considering the short time and philippinos costs price is not a issue .

any suggestion from direct experience? or I need to fly to Cebu?

try hidden valley in Laguna

doesn't have a beach but loads of pools and hot springs etc and very discreet. LBs more than welcome

Hidden Valley is nice...I've been there. If you want a beach that's not too far, go to Batangas. There are nice beaches there and a multitude of possible accomodations. I've also been to some of the resorts in Batangas...they are excellent. Here is a link for one I've been to...Maya Maya...white sand beach http://www.traveltipid.com/local/bat...mayamaya.html. You get there by speedboat out of Manila Bay. Discreet too, and quiet. When I was at Maya Maya, the accomodations are in one area and the white sand beach is accessible by small boat. There is a shrimp farm in between the two spots...excellent fresh shrimp...was owned by Juan Ponce Enrile when I was there...rich Philippine politician...bought fresh prawns and they were great. Some good diving resorts in Batangas as well.

Revasa - had the pleasue of taking my phillipine TS girlfriend to an Island called Puerto Galera, approximately 3.5 hours south of manila by Coach and Ferry. Very nice island and you can search the web for things to do. We stayed at Mindorinne Oriental Beach Resort, maybe 3 star rating but comfortable, on White Beach, plenty of Restaurants and Night Clubs to go to during the day and evening. The best transport to get there is by "Si-Kat" approximately 1,200 pesos per person and includes return transport by Coach & Ferry. Had a very enjoyable time so keep it mind - Regards Potterswand

You cannot beat Puerto Galera for a fun getaway that is conveniently located close to Manila

The Si-Kat transport package is, in a word, a rip-off suitable only for timid foreigners who do not know any better

Better to negotiate with a taxi driver (2000-2500 pp one way) or go the local route and take the JAM bus (170 pp) from the Pasay terminal located beneath the Buendia LRT station

Destination is Batangas pier, 1+45 early morning with no traffic, 2+30 (or more) at rush hour on the South Super Highway out of Manila

Once at the pier, banca boat destination options for the crossing to Mindoro are Sabang (the dive resort area), Puerto Galera town (a bit of a dump), and White Beach (the Filipino beach resort area some 15 km south of Puerto Galera)

Unless you want to get some diving in, take the boat to White Beach and book into any of the beach hotels there (the Mindorinne was OK on my last visit, phone Brian on +63 (0)917 857 8425 for reservations)

First scheduled boat departure from Batangas pier is around 0800, last one around 1700 daily, crossing time is 1-1.5 hours depending on sea conditions, fare is approximately 200 pp

White Beach offers fun in the sun during the daytime, and good food and drink at the bars and restaurants - located right on the sand - until 4 am at night

Your GF will feel very comfortable as White Beach is known to be gay-friendly and has a significant number of LBs working as wait staff in the many establishments there

If you do go to White Beach, stop in at the Mikkos bar (adjacent to the police station on the beach and almost directly in front of the Mindorinne) and say hello to Nikki - one of the sweetest (and prettiest) LBs in the Philippines (her in black in the linked photo with her Mikkos bar mates)

Only downside to White Beach - still rainy season in Luzon now, check the weather forecast before you do

If inclement weather is forecast for your projected trip, best to look for options in the Visayas south of Cebu (Negros, Palawan, or Davao) where the weather may be expected to be more cooperative this time of year

Another rainy-season alternative to consider close to Manila would be a nice resort hotel or condo in Tagaytay - some nice restaurants there, great fun to snuggle in front of the fireplace (2000' above sea level) with a beautiful view of the Taal lake and volcano out your balcony window
