    does a thai (ladyboy) need a passport to go to laos?

    i'm going to be in udon thani and figure since i'm so close to vientienne that i should go. anyone been there?

    Yes they do need passports.
    Back in the scene after a couple of years away. And no that does not mean I was residing at her majesty's pleasure. God it is good to be back among the girls with that bit extra!

      Yes Pigdog they need passports. I did the visa run from Udon Thani and met a couple of Thais at the border. I needed to get a visa but they appeared to go to a different gate to get a stamp. Do you know you can go to the Thai Embassy and get a 3 month Tourist visa which you renew after 2 months in Bangkok at the Immigration Office. Don't forget to photo copy your docs before you go to the Embassy. Opens 10.00am and pick up is 1.00pm the next day. Taxi from border to Embassy is around 300 baht depending on whether you want him to wait for you while you process the paperwork.

      You might have to ask about LB's but the baguettes are good!
