        I did. Took the premium economy seats for an extra hundred bucks or so...well worth it for the extra room. Did not feel like 17 hours at all

          You must have gotten a good deal - now the PE is $500+ more than reg econ. Checked for October - Econ =$950, PE=$1540. Almost $600 more.

            Hey BB, Haven't taken the Thai flight yet, but have taken the 18 hour Sing flight from Singapore to Newark.  It was so nice, I didn't want to get off the plane.  60 movies on demand, plus lots of old TV shows, great food, highly recomended.

            This was in coach which I think they call economy plus and man o man was it a plus.

                    Maybe "a hundred bucks" was an exaggeration! Just trying to remember.....it was not as much as $500 that's for sure. Well worth it even if it was!
