Cheap flights from the usa to s'pore

Some really cheap fares, $403, are being advertised by Northwest from the USA to Singapore (or Hong Kong).
Then you could use a cheapo Asian carrier to continue to BKK, Phuket, or Bali. Think good for late April departures with an early May return.
