Great feedback from everyone and certainly answered my question and then some. I was wondering about WiFi and sounds that it is easy to find in hotels or just carry my laptop to one of the hotel lobbies and grab their access..hahah.. I have a IBM ThinkPad and the carry on restrictions from the USA to BKK are not bad at all..I carry one softsided garment bag that fits over head plus a small briefcase/backpack thing. Thanks for all the input.

Anybody else had those awkward moments when you're trying to read the forum and there are 10 sets of prying eyes looking over your shoulders thinking what the fuck??


Take your laptop, it'll be no issue and take a private flash drive as well for your private stuff.

Prying eyes and convienence mean I wouldnt be with out mine... in the Dynasty now planning my evening assult course, reading the forum and checking out the undates of who's the newest hotty... plus room service doesnt get any better than that...

Bought mine after I had a security warning of someone in Thailand trying to access my UK bank account.  

I had been using Internet Cafes and my bank reckoned that in one I had been shadowed by 'key logger' software.

There is still a risk with open WiFi sites, but it gives me peace of mind.    And I can look at the Forum & Asian TS undisturbed

TTChang, if you use a VPN (virtual private network), your security is increased using WIFI both open and encrypted. There are some subscription VPNs you can use which only cost around 40 USD/year.

well i always carry mine with me....but made a mistake the last time i bought a new...

i buyed one with an 17" screen....so its fuckin big to carry around...

but to be without it??? no fucking way.....

and in pattaya i always stay at the jasmine where they have wifi...and i always start my day by reading the news from the Danish newspapers... the next ill do is to check the forums....
