Dominican Republic Ladyboys ?

Has anyone had experiences w/ ladyboys in the Dominican Republic ? I might go there this December and I was wondering if there were any clubs, hangouts or bars where an interested gentleman could meet up w/ some local ladyboys.

The only city with much of a scene is Santo Domingo. Most of the Tgirls there are freelancers, you may find one in a bar, but it is not like Thailand in regards to bars and Tgirls (wouldn't think of them as ladyboys) are not readily accepted as part of the society either. Their lives often involve threats and act of violence committed against them.
There is one web site dedicated to DR Tgirls. I'll try to find the url and post it here later. From the pics I saw there, most are tall, slender to medium build, VERY few boob jobs, and most have good cock size. Also most would not readily pass for a girl in the opinion of most guys, though some are sexy looking if you like tall dark fem boy types.

I've been to DR, but only Santiago and La Vega areas. I did not see any Tgirls either place. The info I got regarding Santo Domingo is from the guy who has that site. He is a very nice helpful guy and if any members of his site go there, he doesn't mind at all, showing them around.

Thats the site I meant to come back and post the url for. It is said to be the only TG site with DR Tgirls and they have only DR Tgirls.
The site owner is a very nice and helpful guy. He actually has been to Thailand years ago and speaks Thai.
He just decided to live down there rather than over in Thailand for some reason. If anyone is a member of his site and is going to DR, he will help show you around, meet any of his site models, etc, if you ask him politely. To me, his knowledge would be worth way more than what a few months membership to his site would cost.

In those days there was a katoey street scene along Silom at the corner of Patpong (now Patpong1). Ladyboys also travelled up and down Petburi Tat Mai in taxis looking for customers. They fooled many a foreigner who never realized they weren't real girls.

There was also a thriving street scene at Sorn Daeng Circle that catered to Thais. That was my favorite; down to earth girls who hadn't developed contempt for foreigners.

I met a ladyboy once in the Mosquito Bar in Klong Toey, a classic AYOR sailor bar. Other than that I never saw a ladyboy in a club in Bangkok although I wasn't much into the bar scene.

Upcountry you could stumble across a ladyboy here and there working in a shop or in a boonie whore house.

I remember an article in the Thai Rat, the local scandle sheet, about the Yod Katoey (Top Katoey) at Ran Pon, a beauty shop, on Petburi Tat Mai. I went by there and met several I dated.

It was big news when a katoey went to Singapore for the paa tat (sex change). Very few of the girls had any surgical enhancements.

New Year's eve was a big deal. There would be katoey shows in many places.

In my opinion Thailand is the world capital of ladyboys with Brazil a close second.

The DR reminds me of Thailand in the early seventies in some ways. The girls I recruit are poor and can't afford surgery so many are very androgynous and some are a c-hair from twink but that fascinates me.

The scene in the DR is nowhere near as vast as today's scene in Thailand. You have to dig to find it but it thrives in it's own determined way. There is severe oppression of the girls. They are frequently assaulted and a number are murdered every year. They are regularly abused by the police.

The scene in Thailand benefits from the Thai cultural value of tolerance.
