A lot of brothels and BJ bars have been closed by the authorities, among them the notorious Sophie Club.
Also my favourite hotel , California 2, has disappeared, but for other reasons.
Therefore I would like you to suggest hotels/guesthouses (around 20 $) where visitors (of any sex) is more than wellcome.

Curious on what happened to California 2 hotel? Used to know the owners. I lived in PP for seven years back in the 90s, zero LBs then but lots of other action. I think so many of the nasty characters you guys are describing are tweaked on meth or "ice", the new drug of choice in Cambodia. Just what the country needed eh?

No doubt you know that the owner was from San Diego, California as was his absentee landlord, an American Khmer.

Well from the start back in the 90s it was made clear that at some point the property -prime riverfront real estate - would be sold, and that's exactly what has recently happened.

The new landlord had different plans for the building so Jim had to vacate. Sad really as all the Western owned businesses are being squeezed out of that area. As property prices/rents have skyrocketed, that stretch of the riverside is no longer somewhere for businesses making $100 a day net profit.
