I have searched the forum but there is not a great deal of useful info about Penang.

I have been once before for the visa run and i thought it was the shittiest dirtiest place void of any attractive ladies or ladyboys.

Anyone got any good news for me? I would rather not trawl any ladyboy bars there because im sure it is full of skanks. I need a phone number of a decent lb please.

I was there in Georgetown around 2001, there are a few hanging around but you need to look hard, and the quality is not great!!

They usually comeout late too!

Sorry, no good news.  Have been there many times.  Never any luck.  However, it's not a shit hole.  Some good places to grab a meal and a cubian cigar.....

Better luck with LB's in KL.

There is usually a hot bar in Georgetown with the in crowd that will be overflowing with people. Last time I was there it was late night at So Ho across from the Continental Hotel. There are usually a few ladyboys to be found around Georgetown and they tend to be of fairly ordinary looks--and most seemed to be Thai. Be extremely careful as drugging & robbery are very notorious there. My suggestion is bring your favorite ladyboy with you and have fun the whole time.

Well...to find a good ladyboy here, you should be able to get one easily...I must point out the fact tat ladyboys here r cleaner & friendlier...prettier than those in KL..

But there are things I need to point out, pls do not pick ladyboys fr Indonesia...coz nowadays many low grades Indo ladyboys came to Penang...You should be able to tell easily fr their Indo slang...most f them won't be able to speak English...You can test by talk more...
You guys also can tell fr their skin, usually they are quite tanned & dark.

So where to get good ladyboys in Penang?

There's a street named Chulia St, in front of a hotel named Yan Keng hotel, there r many ladyboys there..but remember the tips I listed out above...find some Thais ones should be quite good..
I hv some contacts too..but if you really want them, when u reach here, do give me a ring..

Another place is along the famous & happening Penang Rd, in front of a famous pubs named Soho...or a few more pubs besides Soho, you shold be able to find some there too...
Opposite Soho, usually along the walking pavement, you will notice many standing there..usually starts from 9pm to morning 5-6am...You guys still need to remember the tips I pointed out above...

My brother's been to Penang with his wife and he said he loved it. However, this is probably coming from a non-LB lover, so his perspective may be different than what you are thinking. Anyways, he said it was a lovely place that was a nice alternative to Bali or Phuket. For those interested in just checking out a new beach area, he said it is highly recommended.

Penang is an island..linked to the mainland by a bidge named Penang Bridge.

Food here are very famous & super tasty...beautiful beaches, views...Penang is the most tourists visited state in Malaysia.

As I mentioned, along the Penang Road, there are plenty of pubs for tourists to hang out...
And wihtin the recent 3 years, the small road above Penang Road, we called it Upper Penang Road, there are also plenty of pubs...for you to relax yr night..

Not forgetting to mention Batu Feringghi where you can enjoy the most romantic dinner along the beaches..night market...water sports...morning sea breeze...Numbers of hotels & restaurant there are uncountable...
Many foreigners do bring a ladyboy to spend a good night there...

I've been there several times back in 2006. What I can tell is that Penang is absolutely wrong place for having fun.

I saw two ladyboys only at Chulia St. but they were so old and ungly that I just ran away. There're no night life, no bars, nothing to do there... I do hope I never come back to this place

Chulia St ladyboys are not quality enough...& there are many Indos there...making the quality even worse...

I recommend Leith St or Penang Rd...

Many high escort ladyboys do not stand beside the roads anymore nowadays...coz there are many raids...as this year 2007 is Visit Malaysia Year...
They usually wil hang around in pubs...
