I set my gf up with a hair salon in Makati which was very successful. She never would have had the capital to rent a place and renovate it and get the necessary equipment. After several years in business, she lost her lease when the building changed ownership.

Not long after that, she got tuberculosis and she was cured but it left her lungs unable to tolerate the chemicals used in a hair salon. So she looked for another business to employ herself.
