A bit of an explanation for this event. Many Philippine towns have festivals, often related to religion or seasonal events like harvest. Many of these festivals will also feature a "Miss Gay" contest, which are very popular as attested to the audience size seen in the videos. These festivals also serve as part of the contest circuit for the Filipina lbs who want to go to the big contests such as Miss Super Sirenya, or Miss Amazing Philippines - who then go on to represent Philippines in the Miss International Queen Contest. This is the Dapil (sugar cane) Festival in the town of Bangued, province of Abra, Philippines.
