              I would second that recommendation on the Diplomat.
              It is cheap, great location, nothing fancy about it and is sufficient for normal activities.

              From my experience, almost every hotel in Philippines is LB or guest friendly. It is not like Thailand or Cambodia or Vietnam where all guests need to leave an ID card. Nobody cares in Philippines, at least all the places I have gone.
