Manila Hotels

Never been to Manila guys and might pop over there next weekend, any ideas on hotels etc? nothing too expensive but clean tidy and close to some nightlife!

oxford suites, makati.....right in the middle of burgos street

I stayed Oxford suites about 4 weeks ago,it was ok.
The ladyboys in that area are very average to say the least,i went to Asianbabes.com and chatted to a few who lived in Manila,got a few phone numbers and i kept the first girl i called for my whole trip,i never saw anyone who i would have swapped her for.
I saw but never went into a ladyboy cabaret show not far from Oxford suites,if you come out of hotel,walk a few paces onto main road of bars,to your right is a 7/11 about one hundred yards,you go left up the hill to the traffic lights,go straight over and about 75 yards on your right is the ladyboy cabaret.
I did not like Manila,i never felt safe,but i know people who love it,so i think everyone should speak as they find.

Sorry the instructions to get to the cabaret was not very good.
You leave hotel,walk a few paces straight,and you will be on the road with all the bars,,if you turn right and reach 7/11 you are going wrong way,you turn left,walking uphill,and you come to traffic lights,go straight over,on your right about 75 yards from the traffic lights is the cabaret show.

Phantom, are you talking about the Amazing Philippines Show? This is the only lb cabaret I know about in Manila and they have a Cebu branch as well. Too bad you didn't visit them, as the lbs there are very attractive. I saw the show in 2004, but there is a very strict no dating policy in force from cabaret management (Korean). If you want to contact them, best thing to do is give them your business card with a contact phone number - your hotel, or if you have a Philippines sim card for your phone, when there is time for a photo session after the show finishes.

Lets try again. Oxfors Suites is on the corner of Durban and Burgos St. Burgos St is the street with all the bars.

As you exit the hotel, if you turn right onto Burgos, the 7-11 is on your right after 50-100 yards.

Are you saying that turning right onto Burgos is the wrong direction, and you should turn left onto Burgos? I have been that direction many times, and I don't know any traffic lights or lb show.

Or are you saying that turning right onto Burgos is OK, but you have to then turn left before you reach the 7-11?

If you go towards 7/11 your going wrong way,so you turn left up Burgos and when you come to the road junction,which is not far,you go straight across,and a little way down on the right is a ladyboy cabaret bar,they are advertising outside for ladyboys,so i have no idea if its new or what its like,as i never went in it.
Just thought it might be worth a visit if someone is in that area,as the ladyboys along Burgos were not very attractive.

OK got it. Yes there is a road junction/crossroads, but no traffic lights. Go straight across and you are on the second part of Burgos St. Most of the bars are on the first part where Oxford Suites is.

I think you are probably talking about Jools. It is about the 4th bar on the right, 100 yards after the junction

The bars on Burgos St are FAR more upmarket than Nana/Cowboy, and this one is one of the classiest. Really good cabaret/dance shows on every night....although a bit weired when you are the only customer in the place!

And there is a boxing bar on that junction - pretty crap too! Cheap food on opposite side of road from lb show place.

In fact, I find Manila a hell of a place, and no lb bars anywhere. Better to find contacts and phone numbers on internet, making all your plans for meeting lbs BEFORE travelling there.

Spent one trip there and was bored shitless after 2 days !!

It seems all the good action is in Angeles City these days, but never been there .............. yet, and not heard about lb hunting there either (must try and find out!)

There is no lb nightlife ie bars or anything like that. Some freelancers in Greenbelt Mall. Mostly call in from sites like IMLive
