Manila hotel recommendation?

Might have a stopover in Manila on business in a couple of weeks. Can anyone recommend a hotel close to the lb and gg action, in Makati I guess??

Not 2/3 star cheap shitholes, but not overprices 5 star either

I'm not sure where the action is but I have stayed at the Oakwood Premier in Makati (they have a web site). It is a hotel/ apartment for lease operation. A studio will cost around $90++ per night and they also have larger 1/2 bedroom apartments. Comfortable lounge area including bed with kitchen and full laundry facilities in the room (though bathroom is small compared to the size of the room overall). May look more daunting as there is security at the entrance before going into the lift for the reception. However if you are discreet you can mingle with all kinds of residents/guests and get your guest in ok.

Hello there, i am an old hand in the phils, get a taxi straight from the airport to PACO PARK OASIS hotel, its around 20 mins in cab and will cost you 300 pesatos, which is £3 sterling. the rates are £15 a night for a very nice room and it has a pool,, when you unwound ask a taxi outside (always plenty there) to take you for what ever takes your fancy, the cab will take you to a bar or place where you can get a lb if thats what your after, i cannot recomend makati for lb's as there never seem to be any about and the prices of hotels there and in the bars are ridiculas compared to the rest of the fils,
