Hotels and places in Cebu...

I'm finally heading off to Cebu later this year, but i'm struggling to find decent website based background information on the place.

So for everyone who knows Cebu well....

Could you advise of any reasonable hotels around the $30-60USD a night bracket

Where are the good places/clubs to hang out in Cebu?

What islands close by would you recommend visiting?

All responses would be greatly appreciated and websites addresses would also be good if possible.

Thanks Stogie... i did try the search feature... i think i am highly challenged with that as i never get the stuff i want...

Stayed there a couple of years ago.

I'm afraid I can't tell you anything at all about the nightlife or LB action, as I didn't partake on that visit.

But I did find a gem of a place to stay - Cadillac Cafe. It's actually on Mactan Island, not in Cebu City. But it's only about 20 mins by taxi into the city. (The airport is actually on Mactan, not Cebu).

I should probably add a note of caution about Cadillac Cafe...

It's owned and run by a married couple, he's American (and a character, to put it mildly) and she's Filipina. He would absolutely love to have a bit more naughty action going on there. She's dead set against it. I don't know if things have changed but when I was staying there, she was definitely winning that battle!

do bear in mind that the very pretty and incredibly sweet little serving girls are strictly unavailable!

Having said that, on their weekend live music nights, a few ladies did turn up who were up for P4P, according to him.

I think I also remember seeing a stunner (Alanda?) on Asian TS who worked in a cabaret on Mactan.
