Cebu, PI ~ Is it worth visiting there?

thinking about trying out the phillipines sometime in this life but have heard alot of bad things , lets face it the girls n lbs are fuking smoking hot but ive heard its just nasty dirty and trash all over, thing is i like to move somewere for like 2 or 4 months and stay put and enjoy a sort of long holiday lifestyle ,, is cebu and most of the phil the shite hole i keep hearing, ive stayed in phuket and bangkok and know how nice it can be even on a budget, any suggestion mates, thx.

Here we go again-its not so much about Cebu its about you. Its different from Patts or BKK you just dont have the places to wander around in all day and allnight. I guess Azza will tell us soon as he is there, but it works if you make contacts first, there is a lot of Philippines history in Cebu and nearby in Bohol and Leyte, there are loads of places to go from clubs and bars to beaches and volcanoes etc etc. Its just a different arrangement. Go see, and enjoy! I'd go tomorrow if I could!

thx dex , it is gorgeous there i know, and i actually think there english ability makes them sexier then their thai counterparts, looking forward to are fellow asiants forums brother coming back with the scoop

pretty funny......  I booked 2 weeks there, after 5 days I was bored silly and had nothing to do...... flew to Phuket, took the boat to Phi  Phi {Pre-Tsunami} and had an awesome 2nd week.   I wouldn't go back there if it were free, not as long as a place called "Thailand" exists.

  The Ladyboys ARE better there however tho, better english and less head games, nicer overall and none of that "Up to you" 8-year old bullshit.   I've been saying that up here since 2004, but gender-dysphoric post-adolescents are not not why I go on vacations and frankly I could give a rats ass about 'em.

I hear a lot from different people that the experience is different from Thailand, but this difference can be in a really good way...

i agree the phils are nicer, genuinely nicer, im pretty bored with the thais to be honest, heres a joke for everyone that i heard from a guy in patong : guy has a terrible accident and needs a new brain transplant, the options are as follows, one from an olympian athelete blessed with hand eye cordination that few have and its cost is 150,000 thousand, another is einsteins its 300,000 thousand , and the third is a thais and its a million dollars, the patient ask the doc why the thais is so much and the doc answers'' becasue he never used it''.....
