    Nice report!

And yes they still hang out at charlies bar near boat station 2.

I personally will never likely go back to boracay.
Overpriced and a poor run with weather. It's a place to take someone - not a place to go hunting - although you can get lucky for sure.

Prices for low end accomodation are around $50us in low season and the skies the limit for other choices.

I want to try Bohol near Cebu looks kinda nice without the upmarket nature of boracay!

I should add boat station 3 has cheaper accomadation but I suspect most bm will prefer accom around station 1 & 2 as it's generally of a better standard.

For value and convenient location for hunting, it's hard to go past the Diplomat Hotel in Cebu, 5 mins walk to Mango Square, with 3 star rooms from 1060 peso per night. US$23 approx.

Very lb friendly too, but then again, never encountered a problem in PI, accept the occasional embarrassing ID check and double look. I usually try to walk in with them to avoid this.

Mango square had as many as 80 ladyboys there some nights when I was there in January for their famous Sinulog festival. Most there are out to have fun with friends, but they've usually got an eye out for any foreigners that show interest. There's usually 5 or so more freelancers strolling around the square looking for clients. It has to be a real slow night if you can't find a few. Julianas is their club of choice in Mango Square.

Beach locations are much more expensive.

A TS was brutally murdered a few nights ago in Boracay, locals said its happened a few times. They think the authorities try and cover these things up for the sake of tourism. My guess is that the girls are going with homophobic violent guys and it turns nasty when the guy finds out.

I read world wide, one TS is murdered every three days, that must make
us one of the most at risk groups (per head) in the world..

              Nice reportage Flee

And good to see Miss Tan & Miss Cancer getting on so well

Sad statistics Naang Faa. I can imagine that a predominately cathollic, homophobic and in many ways quite violent country like the PI accounts for a few TS deaths.

                Thanks for the positive comments.

I found quite a few LBs on Boracay hanging out at the Summer Place, but here they are generally only tolerated on the beach side of the bar, unless accompanied.

The hotel prices I paid ranged from $50 to $70 a night in Malate, with $70 being much better value. Sometimes it pays to pay a little more! On Boracay I paid 1500 pesos a night for a simple but comfortable room at a very relaxed part of Station 3. Kind of expensive compared to LOS, but that is how it is in the PI.

Some more pics of cancer........ have to keep you happy

That would be Kikai (spelling?). Not only great legs (and bum ) but a very funny and amusing girl. She helped keep the party at Auntie's Shop going. I'm sure Taneisha can provide any information that Kikai wants shared here.

I just returned from 3 weeks in the PI mostly in Cebu for the Sinulog festival in Mid January then on to a small island north....Malapascua.  Some say it is the Boracay was 30 years ago.   They just got 24 hr electricity in December 09.  I did spend one night in Malate do to plane problems and had a great room, safe, good location(near the Zoo) and seemed 2-3 years old..Casa Nicarosa at about $37/night.  I'll do a trip report.  I regret not having time to meet Cancer but really hadn't planned on a Manila stop.  I found Malate same as it was 2 years ago when I was there to meet a LB I had met on line....rather quiet compared to Nana Plaza or Mango Square in Cebu but contrary to Fleeing's feelings, I didn't feel that Malate was unsafe at all., just like any big city, be wise and pay attention to your surroundings.....don't carry yourself as non-confident tourist.........but then maybe I'm naive.

                              I'll do a trip report..
                              ....so,  you're really a guy?..............
