When you call yourself the resident asshole, how am I supposed to know each of the times when you are not trying to be one? Your reply containing my "edification" of the difference between directs and no stops came across as condescending to me. I apologize if my response was harsher than it needed to be.

And whats more for someone to be posting information for edification purposes - you would hope they understand the airline hub concept beforehand.
If so, these "informed suggestions" would not have been made in the first instance.
Again, I wasn't trying to be an asshole and I wasn't trying to be condescending...I was simply trying to help...And for that I am genuinely sorry...
Moreover, for that I'm called an asshole by Lefty and a wanker by Azza33...
I'm clearly not as smart or intelligent as either one of you...And for that I apologize as well...But not much I can do about it at this stage in my life...
Just let it rest Ok...I'll happily go away from this very important thread peacefully...
Bye Guys...Please go pick a fight with someone else...

Well after all that I hesitate to add my 2 cents worth However, I will say that I for one have been edified by the explanation of direct vs. non-stop. I had always believed (from experience) that direct meant from point A to point B, i.e no stopping..and indeed that's how it seems to be used (maybe 'loosely' technically speaking) by most Travel Agents I have dealt with. In fact these days they seem to say 'direct/non-stop' a lot so I guess even they don't always know.. Now I know it merely means not changing planes
Practically speaking though, I think when you see the itinerary, you will know pretty quickly whether there'll be a stopover somewhere or not and hence whether your 'direct' is in fact a 'not-so-direct'...
One thing's for sure, I will be careful to double check in the future

Double-check the flight or double-check posting advice in a thread like this?
To be fair, the original post sought no advice; the OP sought to inform the board that Cebu Pacific were a bunch of worthless cunts because they canceled his flight, then did not refund his money. In re-reading this, he didn't really ask for any help whatsover, so I guess we all should have just "shut the fuck up." and let him rant.
(kahuna @ May 25 2010,20:25) Moreover, for that I'm called an asshole by Lefty and a wanker by Azza33...
I refer you to post 23, where you used an icon saying ASSHOLE, plain as day for all of us to see. It looks like you referred to yourself by that word before anyone else did.

(azza33 @ May 23 2010,08:33) It's the 2nd time they have done this to me... and the last!!!
In future, if i fly to Phils, I'll use air asia...at least they can be trusted.
I do prefer Air Asia, for flights like BKK to CM or Phuket. For BKK to Clark though, you'd need to go through KL. Also they do not fly into MNL at all.
Yeah I realize this problem, but it's fine for me as I use kl as a transit point on every trip from australia - it is only a matter of planning your trip around kl.
It's a shame though because the bkk - Clark flight is a good route. From Clark you can fly to boracay direct(se air) or get to Cebu.
I'll probably use them again some time in the future- but I'll never rely on them for a tightly planned holiday as they can't be trusted.

You really love to give kahuna, but really can't seem to take it well...
Just curious how do the ladyboys feel about that too???

I just checked their web site because I'd not heard any word of them completely doing away with the BKK-Clark route. They show it now as a two day a week flight, Tues and Sat. I started at July 20 and went forward and that is how it appears. Could you not have flown a few days sooner, like the latest Sat or Tue before your date that was canceled? Did they even offer to move you to the nearest available date for that route? Looking at their schedule starting today, it appears they did have a Thurs flight too and on June 1 it was eliminated. I'm guessing your canceled flight was on a Thursday?

Yes it was the thusday flight and I had no option to change my trip to the earlier or later flight.
Perhaps I could have gone to Manila but I would have to no doubt pay extra for the flight and then spent more money on a taxi. And of course time.
question for you guys. Does CebuPacific have more than one flight a day to MNL from BKK and if they do which flight do they tend to cancel more often. Most airlines tend to cancel there early morning because of low load level.
i have been chatting with a cute LB from palawan and maybe heading out that way later this year but haven't worked out the details of the trip yet.
