Nice job transcebu, having been to Cebu I hope this idea flies enough for them to make this worthwhile. Some nice girls there.... as others have said before if only the english speaking girls of the PI lived in a place with the infrastructure of LOS it would be a no brainer..... but they don't & for the average wanker with his annual 2 weeks holiday abroad trying to figure out where to stay & what to do it is infinitely easier in TH than the PI.

If they (you?) can figure out day trips, friendly bars, good restos, activities (bowling, sailing, fishing, diving, cultural/historic sightseeing) & maybe short trips out of the city ( I know about Bohol, but what about other nice beaches or towns..... plus the west coast of Cebu seems interesting) perhaps enough guys would make the trip.

I've considered retiring to either PI/TH, at least part time, but TH is hands down much more attractive & easier for the casual lout. The PI actually seems to be getting worse with it's political/economic issues, but there is a new government  so lets see.......

Thailand's political future situ is a bit of a potential mess tho .....

Anyway, the next time I return to Cebu it would be nice to have a small party or 2 with the locals.

Reading my mind, hefe ......  ladyboys aside, Thailand has more things to do for me and it's so easy to get around and I am just so used to it.  The 2 trips I did to PI, well the LB's were great but the rest of the time I didn't know what to do with myself; in Thai I never have that problem.


  Trust me, I am retiring in a few years myself and have to consider both;  because I know people from the states who live near Cebu for a fraction of what it costs in Thailand, so my retirement budget will go much further..... but on the other hand I like Thailand, so it will take some serious investigation work over the next 2 or 3 years.

Even before Transcebu started this thread I was thinking I owed it to myself to head back there for another look;  his website just pushed that decision into full gear

I would check with your in country (PI) friends before making any moves now, I'm hearing that VAT taxes are being increased a lot for property & all sorts of goods & services & I know in CDO they are complaining about the increase in daily "brownouts" that are likely systemic & not likely to be remedied any time soon. Also I know that food is more expensive in the PI than TH, & the cuisine is of a lower quality.

NY Times just had an article saying that Kuala Lumpur is an up & coming retirement option for expats..... interesting.

Agreed, Thai food is better....on the other hand the PI has more yummy and fat-inducing western-style fast food.  

Transcebu.....  curious about the cultural side of dealing with these ladyboys in Cebu over the long term.....  we know already that they speak better english, but as for their actual *desires* to they prefer to be with local men or westerners?   Or do they just hang with older white guys who come to their country for monetary reasons??  
          Seems like any culture/country would would want to hang with their own people, and you see it quite a bit in Thailand where many of the girls prefer to be with young Thai's than us, despite their denials.   And that's completely understood, I am just wondering if it's the same there; since they love western styles and trends so much maybe they actually DO prefer to be with western guys?? Or is it just older, western guys who can take care of them?  Maybe laputanegra and statuesque and Alyssa could weigh on that question as well if they see this. If you girls had your choice and money was no issue, would you rather hang out with Philippino guys around your own age or westerners who are 20 years older?

From the best I can discern, it's rare for PI lbs to have long term relationships with local PI guys. As much as they might want it, they're tired of being treated as sex-objects / sources of money from Philippine men who will rarely have an open relationship with them. So yes, they do want foreign partners as lovers, almost universally.

Do they want cash or love? Well both and every girl is different, but as few of the girls you will meet in PI are regular hookers, and bar girls are almost non-existant, and most have rarely encountered westerners in real life, I believe it's a different situation than what's to be expected from Thai lbs working in the bars.

Most want the fairytale romance and to go overseas so they can have a good un-hungry life and support their families. And they want someone who will love and accept them, as their profiles famously state. But they are often kids with little experience and few responsibilities, so after a few times getting some easy $$ or hearing about friends getting gifts or after being talked into web wanks by big promising foreigners, they can, like most young people, become opportunists. Give a 20 year old westerner a thousand bucks a few times and see how long it takes for them to become high-maintenance.

But, while not easy, this can be avoided by just not giving a lot, especially for the typical requests for medical treatments, emergencies and the like. That said, I know how these girls live and I'd feel a right ass to not cover the expenses they incur in coming online to chat at least. I know girls who spent every spare peso going online for months with guys whose sole concern was getting a peek upskirt for a wank and never intended to fulfill their promises to come and visit or pay for boob jobs or whatever.

While I've met a few that are playing guys, the majority of those I've met are sincerely hoping to find their western knight in shining armour to love and many are surprisingly loyal to western bfs they've met online, even when they haven't actually met them yet. And age, really doesn't seem to bother them much. They, like most of us, want someone to love them, someone to love. A bazaar thought, but I believe it, especially while they are lonely which most are.

What they might do when they get to the west, become self sufficient and meet and are charmed by younger guys, well, that's a question of human nature, but such things are beyond their immediate desires. Any half decent man who shows them affection and the potential of security and opportunity, is a man most will lay up late nights thinking about and starting to believe is their soul mate.

I've never been to Thailand. I spent years in China chasing gg's and learned that I didn't want to ever try a relationship with someone I can't communicate well with, no matter how hot they appear. Hence I chose PI to seek a lb companion. That maybe why my perceptions of lbs is somewhat different to what others have, based on their experiences with Thai lbs.

That said, it's not easy to make a relationship with a young PI ladyboy work, but I think it's realistic for most to find a good partner there if they're patient.

With regard to what to do in PI v Thailand, well, I've seen a lot of mountains, rivers, beaches and food in my life, and none of that compares to being with my PI gf or out with her and a bunch of lb friends being their creative and unique selves. That said, there are hidden treasures in the PI away from the main tourist spots. Hopefully such things as tours and events can become part of the service in the future. Who wouldn't want a backstage pass and VIP seats to one of the famous Miss Gay competitions? Just an idea :-)

Well i never like filipino guys or any other asians and im always into someone older to me. so i choose the latter.


But lots of lb's including a few friends of mine that loves to be with filipino guys for sex or for long term relationship even if they have to pay for it.
