Beauty Pageant in Cebu

Cebu is hosting a big pageant in October, there is a dedicated Facebook account for it here; one of our board members is taking part...it takes place in late October at the splendid Waterfront Casino Hotel and looks like it is the best organised pageant in that city for some time...
for some reason they have plastered their logo over half the photos...

i think maybe not so many people on this forum are interested in beauty pageants but i am an exception.

are they trying to copy Miss Tiffany or Miss International Queen

I plan to be there on the 24th for the final pageant night at the Waterfront hotel.

Will be staying a couple of weeks, so any local expat experts, feel free to PM me. Would be good to know others in the city. Only my second trip there but thinking of moving there.

Clothes for Life Inc seem to be organising it and they have a bunch of media partners and sponsors, not to mention pretty large sums coming in for ticket sales.

Good to see events like these being organized professionally in the Philippines and also good to see they've dropped the Miss Gay title which is common at events around the country.

I didn't think the swimsuit photos worked as well as they could have done, they seem to have been retouched a lot their hair looks kinda wild. For once there should be a top quality video of this pageant.

This is indeed a HUGE event in the Philippines with a lot of press and cash prices to the winner.  I have a good LB friend in Cebu so this info comes from her.  Just so you know, the "country" has been assigned to each girl in order for her to come up with a traditional costume from that country.  All these girls are from the PI despite what their sash may say.  I'm sure anyone that may be attending will enjoy it and will certainly see the who's who from the Cebu TG community.  They may look "harder' than Thai girls but being able to have an intellectual conversation in English and have a person with far fewer surgeries can be a benefit for those so inclined to enjoy a "relationship".......
